B&W 603D With a Classe CA300 very nice, very neutral sounding. I listened to alot of gear before deciding on these pieces but I have to say all is good. Im not so sure you cant do pretty dang good for a lot less $$$ but its what I wanted. The Classe gets alot of use and Ive yet to have issue with it. Its very large, heavy and warm if that matters.

I agree. these speakers absolutely blew me away. I've been thinking about ordering some. I would say that they were the best of CES in what they offer in the little package at that price point.

ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you.

I have. I had both in my house when I was deciding which to keep. I decided in the 300. They sounded the same to me.

The only difference between the two is the output. What kind of speakers do you plan to drive them with?

Did you have a chance to compare 300 and 600 watts to CA-M400 watts? I have Martin Logan Summit X speakers is the 600 watts to much juice?

If there's grit in the input signal, maybe.

I use Mcintosh XR200s which are rated to handle 600 watts per channel. Though I have tried blending subs and had success with Martin Logan Descents, I still prefer a full range speaker backed up with enough power for big dynamic peaks and deep bass.

Never become so involved with something that it blinds you.

I cross-over between 60-80hz and my speakers are very efficient (94.5db @1w, 1meter) 300watts is plenty for me. You may need 600watts.
