I also just switched to an optical cable...and it's still doing the same issue. Now after every song. The CB shows 'no signal' on the front..but the song is playing in Roon. So I switched imputs on the CB, then back to the one for my music, and the music plays again. SO, since it's doing the same thing with the optical as the coax...it's not the cable! Could the gap in songs in a playlist be enough to trick the CB into thinking no signal?
All I can tell you is I have no such issues in my sytem.

Try hitting the CB IVa's "AD" button on the front or on the remote - if the CBIVa is sluggish, this can sometimes "wake" it up.

Also you better check your network to ensure there is no issue there, as Roon might be playing, but is that audio signal having intermittent issues over the network getting to the CBIVa? Also what is your Roon core player and what are you using for Roon Ready/Roon output?

Moreover, ths issue could be Roon. I have a Sonic Transporter i5 Roon core and a Sonore Signature Rendu Roon Ready player, out USB to Berkley Audio USB converter, out balanced digital to Theta CBIVa. On occasion Roon may even show playing yet no sound. I'll go on PC and google "My Sonicorbiter" and from that page restart (and sometimes load new firmware if any) both devices, and then all is fine with sound.

Not to change the direction of this thread, but . . .

Does anyone know about Theta Digital's plans for enabling the decoding of MQA-encoded music? I was at the Rocky Mountain AudioFest last weekend and was impressed by the demos comparing MQA with standard Red Book.

Now that I've had the CBIVa with Dolby Atmos/DTS-X for a few months, time to upgrade the video side of my system.

Been living with the Sony VPL-VW5000ES laser projector on a table using my "small" 8' wide for 16:9 and 10.5' wide for 2:35 for a few weeks now. WOW! What a picture! And a Lumagen Radiance Pro. With Oppo UDP-205 4k blu ray player!

My Stewart Filmscreen 14' wide 2:40 Vistascope (with variable side masking) just came in and the 1075 pound crate is sitting in my garage!

Install this Friday. Yahoooooo! Yea, Dave (Thezaks), if you wanna come by after work, please do, an extra hand may be helpful! Thanks for always so graciously offering to help!

EXCITING!!!@@@

Not me, no lifting for me, I don't need another artificial hip!

My installers will open the crate and put the screen together in my garage. then several folks will carry it over to the theatre.

The crate is the majority of the weight. Since there are variable side masking panels, motors, etc., Stewart Filmscreen packs these screens to be bullet proof with a lot of wooden armor to avoid any transit damage. this is my 3rd Stewart masking screen (2000, 2008 and now 2017) and likely my last!

I know I would. I would love to be able to help out. And I do love the sound of those Arial speakers you have. My buddy here in Ohio has a pair. And I really do like them. And that is saying a lot. I am extremely picky. To a fault, I guess.

Steve - Are you sure you want to assemble the screen in the Garage??? and then take it to the theater???
How about taking the pieces to the theater and assemble in the theater...

Up to my installers. Likely that’s what he’ll do.
