Thanks for the video.......didn't realize you had it on this forum.

How much excursion where those subs doing?

Seemed like they were being pushed quite a bit to keep up. I cant tell from the video if the subs is equal with the Jericho but it was nice to see all those woofers being pushed.

Will you get anymore chances at other videos clips of Danley products?

Tom Danley is a genius.

I'd absolutely relish the opportunity to spec a big rig of their's on which to mix. I'm not aware of ever having the opportunity to hear their gear. I planned a visit to their shop, however that got postponed,...so I'm just going to need to make time.

Thanks for sharing

Hi all. Apologies for not replying any sooner, I didn't know there were responses. I have more Danley videos on my YouTube page. http://www.youtube.com/user/waynestrain
Yes the TH812 was working very hard but it was VERY loud. It's the only speaker I have filmed that made the mic cringe. Ivan told me the J3 has so much output it would take 2-4 TH812's to do it justice in a concert featuring bass heavy bands. I think two J3's and 4 Th812's per side would do most indoor or outdoor shows. smile.gif

There are 4 Danley vids on that link including a couple from the WFX 2012 Atlanta show including the new SM80 compact loudspeaker and TH118 combo. It's quite a power house. Ivan suggested 4 or more TH118's to keep up with it. I think 2 SM80's on top of a TH812 would be a great concert rig.

Still wish I had the money or a business so I had a need for these big horns. Jericho for the back yard might be overkill. Lol
Thanks for the.videos as always. Hope to hear some Danley stuff in person in the future.

My kids HS football stadium could sorely use some Danley products.

After attending a game last Friday night, I've decided I have got to talk them into a serious audio upgrade.

Perennial State championship threats, check
Field Turf, check
Brand new HD playback screen, scoreboard, checkAthletics
Athetics/Academics spending ratio way high eek.gif , check
Worst possible audio, check

thinking....

I've got a couple of new vids on my Youtube channel that are from a concert at the Masquarade in Atlanta. They used two J3's and two TH812's and a couple of SM80 front fills. The sub's were hitting so massively hard that shell shock internal damage was what came to mind. Sorry the camera's preamps caused the picture to distort when the kick hits. The local crew didn't think the rig would do the job because all the sound companies always brought in multiple tops and subs. This was one top and one sub per side. (plus one front fill). Afterward they said it was the loudest and best sound they'd had there. The SM80's are listed for about 3K but you can find better deals than that (2200?). They made great fills, loud, and were crossed at 250hz, the point that the J3's were directional to. They could have been crossed lower but Ivan thought they might need the headroom to keep up with the other components. At that volume he could have crossed at about 120hz I believe. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waVVIKQd_to

Love to check out the vid, but it's unavailable.

edit; got the vid to play .... thaks for sharing.
I'm convinced the Danley approach to various obstacles is a sound one. Upon hearing this, that some decent articulate, coherent, percussive, and inteligible sound. I know how hard that is to capture in the manner in which this was captured .. so good lookin' out.
