Mark, sounds great; you must be salivating over getting your own VW1000! Would be interesting to compare the 1000 off the Sudiotec100 to it off the Dalite HP2.4, which I must say looks mighty good. And the 2.4 gain, of course, does make it easy to deal with quite a large screen (provided the pj can be located optimally for the HP).

That's a fair statement, the seven people that have seen the one I had here (since gone to a friend) all want one.

I was saying you were falling for a company's marketing pitch of "4K" material. Last I checked, screens did not have pixels

It is for me. And I just switched out out my Studeotec 130-GII for a Studeotec 100. The gain drop was noticeable especially on 3D but the grain drop was amazing. The fabric just disappeared.

Well - I stand corrected - while waiting anxiously for Jim's Florida review [just had to slip that one in Jim]. I for one am intrigued by reviews I've read on other sources and I can't wait to get a look at one.

Also, what's the deal with everyone going for gain drop? Has anyone tried this bad boy out on a Silverstar or HP - or is that overkill?
