M at the THE show in Newport and there is one heck of a McIntosh setup here. I am waiting to hear it played. Anyone ever heard (or own) the top end McIntosh stuff?

Anyone have opinions on it?

interesting

What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on? I bet you got little save pitiful, portable picnic players. Come with uncle and hear all proper! Hear angel trumpets and devil trombones. You are invited.

It was nice, and played a clip from a Michael Buble BLURAY nicely... But for the money... I don't know. MBL was amazing though.

I have. Once I heard the XTR2K reproduce a lion's roar. It started with a low growl that actually was so realistic that it created a sense of actual fear. The growl erupted into a full blown roar that created the sense that your bloody flesh was about to be torn from the bone. It's amazing how those speakers can actually recreate the most delicate sounds and still be so dynamic with such fidelity. Now, this was accomplished with Mac's 2000 watt a channel amplifiers. Can you really release the full dynamics of the Big Mac speakers at a show? I suspect not which is why most don't fully appreciate the awe the speakers are capable of reproducing.

Never become so involved with something that it blinds you.

I was actually impressed with how quickly they could go from normal to extremely loud volume for a solid 'hit' of sound.
