He's not saying "3D doesn't work", as your misleading thread title claims, but instead is saying that 3D can lose depth information IF two conditions happen simultaneously: the on-screen action is very fast and the frame rate is low (e.g., 24fps). The solution, especially for action scenes, is to use a higher frame rate. His solution is no surprise, considering he's been advocating higher frame rates for decades, irrespective of 3D or 2D.
