Hi Craig,

I agree. There are various unique settings in the Auro, DTS and Dolby surround menus. I am certain, the DTS-X surround page will offer such things. Very cool stuff going on now!

There are more than a handful of [op amps] that sound so good that most designers want to be using them as opposed to discreet transistors. Dave Reich, Theta 2009

It looks like Barco will be introducing a 20.1 system.

I wonder if Datasat is building the unit and it will mean 20 input channels for a
future RS20i

If the Datasat was a car....

Saw this being prepped today while getting tires on my car. $970,000.

Rs20i with 20+ channels would be awesome, I hope it comes soon. Their Dirac implementation has me sold.

...and the 918 Spyder sounds amazing, likely one of the last great sounding cars as everyone is going turbo!

More likely the IOSONO core processor which can be bought right now with up to 512 channels!!!

This was a very interesting demo at the Barco residentisl booth at ise.

Still nothing official from Datasat with regards to a DTS:X upgrade? Come on Datasat, just an announcement will suffice

I got my RS20 with Auro /Dirac and my LS10 with Auro yesterday.

We are so busy with installs I can't find time to open them and play but hopefully in the coming days..

I can't decide what to open first.. I do want to end up comparing the two side by side and will do it eventually but I need some time

Lots to follow -

My suggestion is to get familiar with the RS20i first, it has the steeper learning curve. I recently commissioned a commercial theater in the Bahamas ( http://www.the-island-house.com ), and it contained the AP20. I had forgotten how many little nuances there are to the setup and how I had to work with the Dirac to really get the performance I desired. My personal guess is that because of the price difference, there's less complexity in the LS10 and the setup is actually probably more straightforward to do.
