This PJ is at the top of my list currently. The reviews have been great but there has been a pretty broad range of reports for calibrated lumens.

Do any current owners or others with experience with this machine have any thoughts?

I need about 800-900 calibrated lumens for my setup of a 120" wide 2:37 AT screen with aprox .85 gain. I am working on a demo but not having much luck.

The M.150 is a great projector...one of my all-time favorites. But I think it would be challenged with a screen that size...particularly with one using a material that is less than unity gain.

Thanks Pete.

Any others owners or users have any thoughts? I am still not able to find a demo.

There aren't any dealers locally?

4th largest city in the US and there are only 2 dealers (per the web site).  One is a B&O store and the other does not have the M.150.  I will expand the search further.

Contact the rep from SIM2--they'll be able to tell you who has the unit on display. You might be able to get a rep sample delivered to the dealer you are working with for a demo.

The M150 can do about 900 calibrated lumens: http://www.avforums.com/reviews/SIM2-M.150-3D-1080p-LED-Single-Chip-DLP-Projector-Review_309/Review.html

And it will seem like it's doing 1500 lumens...

I thought it was underpowered for a 1.4 gain Black Diamond screen, in a blacked-out room at ISE a year and a halve ago. Your screen would be larger and only a little over half the reflectiveness.

The demo at CEDIA was 1.3 gain and the size was just over 100" IIRC. With lights off, it looked perfectly capable on that screen (as you would expect at CEDIA).

Well, it didn't 'pop'! Now the Sony 56" OLED at Sony's IBC booth did not just pop, but blasted off the screen. Of course the Rio Carnival, is just the glittery, bright and colourful content to do that, and it was shown in a black tent... At the ISE show following the 150 launch Sim2 was showing a classical concert video, so fairly dark material, but the Mico 150 could not compensate for the darker nature of the video.

Mine is only 600 lumens after calibration and I am using 100" Firehawk SST screen. I think that for your 120" 0,85 gain screen it will be too dark.

600 is what we thought it would do. I agree that this would not be enough light for my setup and I went with the Lumis and I am loving it so far!!

Are you loving yours? It's a fantastic PJ if the lumens work for your setup.

Yes I am loving it, however it could have some more lumens in 3D :-)
I also saw the Lumis in an action and it was almost the same picture for me but with more punch.
