Heard these today in an outdoor kc meet not nearfield. Very very impressive. I heard the 9.5 k monitors. Would love to hear the 22k monitors. Worth some interest!

You're more likely to find owners of pro studio monitors on the gearslutz forum. If you're serious about getting an indoor audition then you could contact a dealer, or the company itself, and they may be able to get you some listening time at a working studio.

There's a review of the Barefoot Minimain12 (msrp $20k/pr) in the Jan issue of Mix magazine... try this LINK and if it doesn't work, sign up for a free online subscription.

My old teacher who won 2 grammys raves about these speakers. According to him, after he heard them at a shoot out he hold a mixing console and some older monitors to afford them lol.

No subwoofer I've heard has been able to produce the bass I've experienced in the Corps!

Must..stop...buying...every bluray release...

Very favourable review. Syswei, what did you end up with for speakers? I recall from previous threads you were considering a few options.

I haven't bought anything, and may never build a real HT unless I get really bored. Basically, I'm the only one it the family that remotely cares...everyone else is fine with the 50" Kuro and old 2.1 Paradigm Active speakers in the family room. I had thought for years that I'd build a real HT in the basement, but now question if even I care enough to go to the hassle (I have trouble trusting contractors etc) and expense. My latest thought is to maybe stick a 120" Vizio Reference in the family room, with a more midrange-priced 7.x system, and forget about doing the basement with higher-end projection.

That Vizio sounded nice from what I read in the reports from CES. A very clear sign that LCD/display leadership has moved from Japan to Taiwan/China. Is there an international vendor that uses the same panel, as Vizio and Westinghouse are US only brands? Does anyone know if Sharp will be showing its Dolby HDR/wider gamut display at ISE at the beginning of Februari?
