Hi,

I had a Sim2 C3X 1080 Projector but recently changed to the Sim2 Lumis. Fan noise is  louder. I was wondering if anyone has changed the fans out for  silent ones, or are these fans as quiet as they come. They state that the new Fuoriserie Projector has quiet fans fitted so maybe only now they have started using them..

DO you have the fan mode in 'High Altitude' mode? I can't recall but there are a couple of modes to reduce such. Does your sit over your head?

I had a loud fan on mine. I sent it back and it was replaced (it was the exhaust fan rather than the intake fan).

Do you have the Lumis, or Super Lumis? I imagine the Super Lumis would have a bit more fan noise with a 350 watt lamp to cool, but I'm just guessing. My Lumis is in a projector closet, so I don't even know how loud that one is.

The Superlumis actually has a bit less noise than the Lumis because of a new cooling system.
