iansilv,

You can also use 4 actuators with a platform (unless there is some reason why YannickG left this out that I don't know about). The benefits of a platform is that you can put several different combinations of chairs on it (eg 1 chair and 1 love seat, or a couch, or 3 chairs, etc). The only small drawback is that the amount of roll will gradually diminish as you increase the width of the platform.

Hi Yannick,

that was the first thing I tried. But it does not help. I use Live Update 1.5.5
When I make the selection to -japanese- in the Live Update configuration /preferences menu nothing happens. I tried with settings express and with settings on interactive.
Maybe there is something wrong with my Live Update program ? because everytime I enter the Live Update configuration / preferences menu, all the settings I made in the -Languages- section are lost.

Just did Die Hard 4... great job. Had people visiting and it was great that none of us saw Die Hard 4 yet... Blu Ray, D-Box, a movie never seen before... that is the gold standard!

Keep the Blu Ray codes coming... so many pouring in!!

This happens to me most of the time. Maybe it is a glitch in the software?

I think that Bluray, D-Box, a Lossless soundtrack, and a movie never seen before is the gold standard.

I watched Cars this weekend for the first time, and used the lossless soundtrack, because my D-Box is not working with Cars. All I can say is it was great, and I can't imagine suffering through standard DD any longer.

Hi Paul

You're right! I forgot. To me it is a major draw back. I find the experience to be a lot better in a single seat in three axis. But you are right we can have up to 4 seats on a platform.

Good to see you in the forum!

Yannick,

My wife and I just returned from Bogota, Colombia where we adopted a baby boy so while I have been keeping up with the forum in passing, I have really been kind of out of the loop. Two questions, I just saw that ELF is on the upcoming motion codes list. Do you have any idea when that should be ready. Next to Christmas Vacation, ELF is one of our traditional movies. I want to wait until the codes are released to watch it this year.

Second, and this not as critical, but I am purchasing a movie rental box from a company called VUDU . Any chance that may be compatible with D-Box

Can't wait to start watching movies again! We have been out of the country for SIX weeks.

Is anyone successfully using an wireless game adaptor with their 340C controller for updates? My showroom is about 400 feet from my house. I am now wireless in the entire showroom and use my home router for internet over in the office. I use a game adaptor with an Escient DVDM-300 and it works great. (Linksys WET54). I can't seem to get the 340C to work, however. If it can be done, I want to do it wirelessly.

Nicolas' daddy,

Nicolas' daddy,

There is one adaptor that I know works
D-Link 2.4 Ghz wireless DWL-G820, you may want to give that a try

Special Request

Every first Friday of the month we have a little thing at D-BOX where 1 person has to talk about one side of them that the others may not know... This coming Friday it's my turn and I would love to bring in some of your feedback to the rest of the crew since I should have all there attention. Not everyone knows since most of the comments are forwarded to the Motion Artist directly. They can be PM to me or posted here it's up to you. Thanks in advance.

Great Yannick. I guess the best part of these partnerships, for now, is that you will get the movies early, so that you can code them in time for day and date release?

My main comments to pass on are to focus on HD codes first and foremost, and HIRE MORE MOTION ARTISTS!!!!!!

Finally watched 300 over the weekend.....Awesome.

Bringing this kind of comments on Friday won't help... I want to have comments from you on how this technology is adding to the movie...

Regarding the agreements if you are looking at the benefit today you are right... but if you look at the big picture, there is a lot more to be taking into account i.e. the theatrical...
