I had no issues with Warrior unless I tried to use a rental version. Any rental from LionsGate/Summit often has different audio than the retail release. This is where the issue lies. Since I don’t buy every movie I watch, I have to be clever on where to rent from.

The only accurate list I can create is what was coded on DVD but not synced yet for BD. Outside of that, even D-Box does not keep up with every type of release and which syncs. Instead they use the catalog number which I find does not always help.

Make sure it has DTS-MA 7.1 audio, the rental has 5.1. Was this a single or the 3 pack with KickBoxer/Haywire?

I should have messed more with it. It is the single with blu, DVD and digital copy. I out it in today and it worked fine. It defaulted to 5.1 and I put it over on the 7.1 and it instantly recognized the audio track.

Thanks for the input

I can confirm that the Redbox version of Sabotage does sync now. New codes for 13 Sins also hit in case anyone was having issues with that flick.

I also checked Brick Mansions (Redbox) and it does not sync. Anyone else tried this movie yet with success? Also, has anyone gotten Pompeii to work?

Hi Cinerama,

thanks for the picture! The HEMC looks cool and at 7.75"x7.75"x1.46" it seems to be a flat "mini pizza box"...

I stumbled over your post on the DCI-Forum regarding the USB-to-Kinelink-Adapter. I was wondering if the adapter you were pointing at would really be working with D-Box. Here is my thinking: The signal on the USB port must be a digital signal. Kinelink, however, is an analog signal. So the USB-to-Kinelink adapter has to have some form of digital-to-analog conversion built in, just like the KAI-1P has. On the other hand, the price list you showed a picture of, does not show any HEMC USB-to-Kinelink adapters... Would one need a KAI-1P per love seat then?

I think we soon will know...

Cheers!

Markus

What he listed probably won't work and could damage your ACM. The KAI-1P, when connected to your PC, will come up as a audio/sound device, so there is more going on than just USB to RJ45.

With the HEMC, you do need a KAI-1P per seat. This is the main reason I did not pull the trigger on this box as it takes the cost up another notch after the MSRP came out $1000 more that we had hoped for. For those going into D-Box for the 1st time, the KAI-1P now comes with the actuator kits so the extra cost won't be there for them.

Hi Markus, Thanks!
I was told at CEDIA that that would be the case one kai adapter per loveseat.

Sorry about the speculative post, was thinking out loud.

I was thinking I was told the KAI-1P adapters came with the HEMC.

They for sure come with the actuator kits, so both would not make any sense. I would love to be wrong here.

Is anybody else having trouble with upgrading a Series IV controller to version 3.78 that came out in August? I created the CD using ImgBurn like I always do. It seems to load correctly but version info still says 3.76. I power cycled it and no change.

I don't think there is much in 3.78, but I like to keep things up to date.

Am I reading it correct that if I buy the new HEMC to replace my MCI-2P I will need to additionally buy a KAI-1P module in order to get the HEMC work with my SRP-230 love seat?
