7channel has these, maybe he can chime in. For me, these cost way to much and I just added this to my remote instead.

I seriously considered it but two main things scared me off--1) cost and 2) potential damage to the chair if I didn't cut leather and wood correctly during installation.

And honestly, with IP control availability, I should be able to do this through my automation system, and avoid this, although it won't be quite as slick.

It can be done with RS-232 (non-HEMC) as well if your remote system can do 2-way feedback.

In the PDF brochure, it has a picture of the board with some cables on it.

I actually spoke with a D-Box rep today in Quebec and she was speaking with an engineer there. She said that the MFX-ILC is located between the MCI-2P and the Actuator Control Module. In other words, instead of hooking up the Actuator Control Module directly to the MCI-2P it would be like this:

Laptop (via USB) > MCI-2P (via shielded CAT5) > MFX-ILC (via shielded CAT5) > Actuator Control Module

So, the MFX-ILC would need to have an RJ45 input and an RJ45 output. She is sending me the installation guide, but I was wondering if anyone here had experience with doing this.

Also, if I am able to control the "Volume" of the vibe and motion with the MFX-ILC, how would the laptop software respond? Would there be two ways to control the amount of vibe and motion?
I almost never touch mine. I did when I first got it (as with most new toys) but with these controls on the new app and HEMC, they won't be needed. I've not even done my homework to see if they'll work with the new controller. I'm a bit of set it and forget it type tho. I guess it depends on how much you wish you could change the settings now.

Here is what I posted to their support form (http://www.oppodigital.com/ContactUs.aspx?CatID=1), I encourage everyone to send a similar request:

I will be upgrading my current Oppo Blu-ray player at some point to a 4K/UHD model for Ultra HD Blu-ray playback. I was hoping that you would definitely keep the unique feature that allows simultaneous output of lossless audio through HDMI and lossy audio through optical/coax for as many disc formats as possible. I need this for compatibility with my D-BOX system that is not compatible with HDMI audio, and also does not work with any type of conversion or extraction of HDMI audio because it requires a completely intact audio data stream to synchronize with the Blu-ray that is playing. Even if the Ultra HD Blu-ray specs do not allow this type of audio playback I still need it to work with legacy Blu-ray and DVD. Thanks.

Did the same and got:

The ability to keep all outputs on the player live at the same time is definitely something that we will continue to support in future products, including our UHD player that we will have released sometime in 2016.

I don't see that but something is still wrong. Can't pull up any movie lists.

Not cool. From a PR prospective, you can't let this happen if you expect to have folks shell out Credit Card info once a year. Get it together D-Box, I can't recommend a company to anyone that can't keep their own site from being hacked and then allowing to continue this long. They should be ashamed and I hope they care enough to reach out to their customer's to inform us of what other risks we have been subjected to.

Also, for non-HEMC users, American Sniper codes are out.

That's ok I'll take your word for it. No need to tempt fate of incoming malware. The old site never had this happen. Maybe they will go back to the old site

It's out for HEMC users as well, it's just that the HEMC website's list of codes is malfunctioning currently.

I have often the problem that I can not install updates, for the new hemc controler.
Current I have a problem with the Update Version: 1.0.0.8016.
I copy the download file on a usb stick and connect the usb stick with my hemc controler, than I started the hemec controler with power on.
But nothing happens :-(

Do you have some ideas what I can do?

I have one of the early series platforms, the Odyssee XL, later called the 4600p. They have the really fat boxes attached to the "hockey puck", not the skinnier ones that came out later. It works with my HEMC.
