Silver HEMC getting really HOT

I'm afraid that there is something wrong with my HEMC. It is working correctly but it gets really hot during operation. I can touch it just for one or two seconds.
It is the silver HEMC and it is installed in an open rack with enough space around it for ventilation.
Does anybody notice the same problem? How hot does your HEMCs get?

That's a typical "feature" of the early silver boxes as a result of their passive cooling design. The newer black boxes run a lot cooler. Don't worry though, your box is fine.

So I don't have to worry that my HEMC will be broken sooner than later because of always running that hot?

Just to confirm, I also have the silver HEMC box and got it at the very start of the product release. My box runs very warm to the touch, but that is what happens when Manuf. use the case as a heat sink.

No problems so far.

Honestly, fans are very unreliable things in electronic devices. When one wears out the entire box usually melts down, so not having fans can be seen as a blessing or bane depending on how you look at it.

This is not VisionHD's fault though, it is the fault of the Seats Manufacturer Jaymar. VisionHD is great and I can highly recommend them, however i would not choose Jaymar for your seats if you want them in a decent amount of time!

They are slow at communicating and even slower at getting things done. If you want your seats any time soon i would highly recommend to look for an alternative manufacturer however, VisionHD can help you with that!
I remember waiting for Jaymar. It was pitiful.

Is there any way the D-Box SRP 330 (Loveseat Recliner version) would feel the same as the 3250c in a single seat? Or is that a pipe dream?

Not 100%, you only lose a little on roll movement(side to side). Love seats are a great value for D-Box.

I was over @thxman 's house over the weekend and he threw on Fury. I had seen the "Beast" tank battle numerous times at Cedia last week, but never quite like that! I can fully understand what poor @SOWK is feeling right now!

Have the black HEMC for a while now, every time a watch none original Sound, i had drop outs and the HEMC lost signal for secs...Older and brand movies as well.Change Cabel nothing.Use the analog out L/r adapter to3,5 from Panasonic Br Player.
Did the "Headphonetest" and have the right signal left/right with voices. If a change to english same movie same scene zero drop outs!
Anybody the with same problems? Drive me crazy

Hi Dirk,

what is your recognition tolerance setting in the HEMC?

Since the non-english soundtracks differ from the original whenever there is dialogue, one needs to set a higher tolerance. The recognition tolerance simply means that the HEMC continues to provide motion to the chair(s) for the set time even if the sync is lost, which always happens when there is non-english dialogue.

With the high tolernace setting, however, I had weird effects with select titles where there are "special" versions, as the HEMC ignores deviating soundtrack info for the time set as recognition tolerance.

Hope this helps!

Markus

You can also PM me in German, if that helps!
