I'm getting close to the point of maybe thinking of buying it, but seems the problems outweigh the benefits right now.
They slowly fix issues like sync issues with different sources with the HEMC. While this hurt those who did not want to upgrade, at least D-Box provided current users a significant discount.

To determine if it is right for you, you need to look at what gets the most complaints. That is what titles are released and when. If you like to pick up the latest movies on Thursday and watch them within a week, you may be let down. At one point (short duration) the new codes would be out by that same Friday (only if coded the theatrical release), but that is not the case anymore. It can still happen, but it is more the exception than the rule. I would say the average is about 2 weeks with some odd Sunday code releases.

The next drawback is the subscription model. $250 a year. On the plus side, they do take coding requests. I know I have had over a half dozen titles coded after I requested, though some may have been in the pipeline without me knowing.

There also is no current support for audio mode on the HEMC, but that is something I never really used myself.

I hope I covered enough to help you make a decision .

I had a similar wierd issue yesterday while watching a movie, i have two seats one love seat and one single seat. I paused it, did a rewind then forward, after that wierdly my love seat completely stopped responding and only my single seat was responding, one seat had to watch half the movie without any motion

This was the first time i had this, ive watched and paused movies before too and never had this problem, its also wierd how only one seat was affected.

Curious what the prices are like now for DBOX. Is there a list? I'd need 4 single seats. Thought about it years ago but it was too much. Can it all be run from Plex now? Curious about that too.

I think you will find the prices have not gone down much if at all. I have seen a few deals over time, but not often. I waited 5 years from my 1st set until I found a good enough deal to complete the other seats. I also used a loveseat to help with costs.

Aa far as Plex, HEMC works with almost source.

Sell me your seats...

I'm going to have to do a love seat I think.

Has anyone tried to watch Resident Evil The Final Chapter?

I tried watching it in 3D, the HEMC picked up the movie but there was no motion or vibrations at all!!! ? Other movies are working fine though...

Edit: forget I said anything!! it works now the second time I tried it. Not sure what happened the first time!!
