Ok I would like to buy some 12-14 gauge speaker wire is there a difference between this Belden 5000
What you need to know when it comes to wires are to run them as short as possible and use 10-12 gauge wires. The only reason to spend extra on the same gauge wire is to ensure they have good enough insulation against oxidation which can be a major problem in some tropical areas.
do anyone make good inexpensive premade cables with banana plugs?
I just made my own speaker wires for the first time with monoprice 12 AWG wire and a bunch of their closed type banana plugs following an on-line guide I found after googling for 'how to use closed type banana plugs'. You really only need a wire cutter and a utility knife to get it done.
is that the correct link ? connectors shown are "pin" connectors, not bananas
Yeah, I know. I just happened to stumble upon them. They didn't offer banana-terminated. The price was right, so I posted the link. Pins can still be used, especially at the speaker end, but can be tougher (if not impossible) with a receiver's binding posts.
