Oh yeah, and I have to say that so far dealing with Rick Craig has been a huge pleasure and my speakers haven't even been built yet...

Yes. His work is amazing and deserves a lot more attention than it gets.

What are you powering your SSRs with Cadobhuk? Still in love with them?

Yes they are flawless to me, although I only have my audiophile headphones to compare. I wish someone made a comparison between SSR and some well known models like paradigm or B&W or Ascend or even the new SVS speakers.

I'm powering them with 2x parasound hca-1200a - one for the fronts and one for the rears. I'm using 10' of 10awg gray belden cable purchased from bluejeanscable, for each speaker. The center channel one is powered by hca-1201a monoblock through about 3 feet of the same cable.

A pair of SSRs here. Onkyo Grand Integra A-G10 integrated amplifier 135WRMS per channel. Great sound with a slight mod: A 20 ohm resistor in parallel with the tweeter, toned down the highs by 1-2 db, for an even smoother sound in my room.

Heh, thats not a mod for me. I like a touch of brightness to highlight the details. My sa5000 headphones are also a bit on the bright side and I love them.

While I haven't purchased a line array from Rick, I've always been an admirer of his work. He's been very easy to talk to and is willing to help.

Just ordered the Tanzanites, Sardonyx and wall mounted surrounds. Can't wait to get them. Rick has been very pleasant and answered lots of ignoramus questions from me. I feel like I got a very good deal.

Someone ask Rick where the name Selah comes from?
Kip, can you change the name to "The Official Selah Audio Owner's Thread"?
It sounds more "official".

Not on web site. 8" deep, ribbon tweeter with 5.5" Seas excel midwoof.

OK, everyone, can you post dimensions of the room and speaker location? That way we can have a reference of what someone can experience in terms of relative SQ.
My room is 20'x18'x7' without serious bass nodes or echoes.
Speakers at 4' from front wall, 5' from sides.
Except in the bass region, they can compare very favorably with my $10K Infinity IRS Sigmas. Next?

I notice the sensitivity ratings of some of the Selah speakers seem a bit low. Do you guys have issues with getting higher volume levels without resorting to very high power levels?

They look like great speakers!

the frequency of -3 db..ssr have 45hz...the surrounds on the woofers seem to distort with some ^lots of low bass^ soundtracks like 300 movie, if I dont add a crossover, I use a crossover of 60.
my room is 25x23x9. Id be willing to bet the acoustics are horrible in it, with 10 big windows all around. But I did make some owens corning 703 treatments for the primary reflection points and bass traps for the corners. They seem to help a lot. Can't wait to get my a7s-450 sub to work again, had to send the amp for repair.

"Selah"

A word of doubtful meaning, occuring frequently in the Psalms; by some, supposed to signify silence or a pause in the musical performance of the song.
Beyond the fact that Selah is a musical term, we know absolutely nothing about it.

I don't have mine yet... eventually when I have more money I plan on getting 2x SSRs up front 1x SSR or MF7 center and move the original MF7s to surround duty... I just can't drop $1500 on speakers right now

I'm a loyal Selah Audio fan. I've had Rick do a number of custom designs for me. Here's my Omegarrays. They are for sale, BTW.

Rick is great to do business with and I highly recommend his speakers. He's a true craftsman with a passion for perfection.

Good to know that. I thought Selah was Rick's wife.
