I see products out there that take RCA inputs and transmit to a wireless receiver that can directly drive speakers, but I'm looking for something that takes the speaker output of my receiver (amp) and transmits that wirelessly...unless there is a way to turn amplified speaker output back to line level. The idea is not to have to buy a new reciever or speakers.

I need this for the rear speakers of my 5.1 setup as running wires back there would involve cutting and repairing holes in either my floor or ceiling. Thanks.

There are a few devices that will take the RCA input to the transmitter and have a power amp in the receiver. I believe
Kenwood RFU-6100 would do this but it has had mediocre reviews. Also, there is a British unit but it is fairly pricey. Otherwise, any RCA in/out (line level) will do with an additional small amp.

Thanks Kal, but as I stated in mu OP, I'm looking for something that transmits the speaker output of my reciever, not a RCA line output, I already knew about those. My reciever doesn't have RCA outputs for the seperate channels, just amplified outputs that go right into the speakers. thanks.

I've heard one and can't say I'd buy it, but it does work. There might be one or two others.

Don't believe everything on the Interwebz! A duck's quack DOES echo!

There are none. However, you can convert the speaker outputs to line-level with a simple adapter.
