I'm on a bit of a speaker quest and I'd like to hear from y'all about what speakers I should audition/purchase/take a look at.
I'm looking for at least 3 (maybe 5) bookshelf speakers that will meet these requirements:
- look great (preferably satin black or dark brown)
- be less than 11" tall or give uncompromised sound when placed on side
- comfortably go down to 80 hz (I'm crossing over to one MFW15)
- sound great (50/50 movies/music
- budget is $500-$2000
So far, I've come up with a list of speakers that are less than 11" in height. They are:
Polk Monitor 30
Klipsch WB14 (didn't like)
def tech SM350 (didn't like)
RC Mini Energy
Paradigm Atom Monitor
NHT Absolute Zero
Also in the running is the Sierra Center, which from my understanding, would sound great placed on its side.
Which speakers would you recommend? (On list or off!)
Thanks for your help!
