Almost decided in buying AVR 354, but i cant find any HKTS 18 in silver color. It looks like HKTS 18 now comes only in black. I have tried to look for alternatives in polk and klipsch but they too come in black. Are there any good speakers in the range of $500 -$1000 (with subwoofer) which come in white or silver color? I hate to go and buy bose accoustimass white for 1000$.

Thanks for your help!!!

Spend more on your speakers and less on your AVR. I'd go with a 254 (same color as the 354) and better speakers than the HKTS. Lots of speaker manufacturers offer silver, you just have to look. If you're looking for small, satellite speakers, check out Orb Audio satellites and combine that with a silver STF subwoofer from HSU and you're good. SVS used to offer a $999 system which included 5 bookshelf speakers and a great subwoofer in silver, they may only offer in black now; still worth checking.

Thank you for your responses. Any choices in polk, klipsch , definitive ? CBM-170 is a bookshelf spaker but they dont seem to have finishing options on their higher ends.
Thanks again

Not sure what you mean.. You said you want speakers in the $500-$1000 range for a full 5.1 set you won't find higher end speakers in that range. Maybe a pair, but not a full set with sub. The higher end options at Ascend would of been out of your price range for a full set with a decent sub.

Look for Polk Audio RTi4 bookshelves in white. There were clearing on 'Bay at very good prices recently. You can use them for all of your channels if you want, but they are usually sold in pairs. MUCH better than HKTS 18.

Look at the Definitive Technology ProCinema line. The 600 system is a complete package for $799 - if you can stretch the budget a bit go ala carte with 4 of the ProMonitor 800's, a ProCenter 1000, and then add an eD A2-300 for $350 delivered. That would come out to $1150 but you may be able to deal down some on the DT's from Abt (look in the DT 800 thread). Excellent combo for the price.

Plenty of good reviews.

Last time I checked, those custom automotive finishes cost almost as much as the speakers themselves due to the amount of labor involved. Slim chance you could get a 5.1 custom finished set anywhere near the stated price range.
