Just got off the phone with Emp and my E55ti mains and E56ci center will be shipped tomorrow. They said that they have been overwhelmed with the responses from this forum. They cut me a deal on the set. They are shipping out tomorrow.

For the ones who have bought the Emp's,what receiver are you using? Someone wants to buy my Denon 791 and I have been looking at the Denon 2112ci.

Wife said to get whatever I want and get the system done. She said to buy now and not regret later.

Word of warning: Emp said that they are having phone service problems so if there is no answer to please try again.

He did not say if they were new or b-stock. If they are b-stock,everyone seems to be happy with theirs so I am not worried. I was given the sale price on the towers and 2 bills off of the center. If you do the math I feel as though I got a great deal.

Do I have to call or can just email them for that price on the e56ci? I was waiting for the sale but 250 sounds good to me.

Any word on how long the sell might last for once it starts? I'm thinking about getting some E55ti and a two subs with a center if its a nice discount.

EMP tek 5.1 theater setup, Marantz SR6006, Oppo BDP-95
Salk Songtowers, Emotiva XPA-2, ERC-1.

This is a horrible hobby!!  My wallet hates me, takes up to much space, neighbors want me to move, but man my house sounds amazing!

I would hold off on their subs....I have a feeling they're coming out with a larger sub...Instead of 2 subs I would look at Revel or Hsu....very musical subs....better match for the Emp 55ti's....I have the Revel T-1($700)......the smaller T-5 is only $500.The Hsu Vtf-1 would be great,also.....Peter

Cool thanks Krell, I have SVS subs I might try with that as well and see how they do with the EMP Tek, but I've fallin in love with these speakers and with all the nice reviews online I have to try it my self.

Meh.

I don't think you can advertise 'March Madness' when there is, in fact, no madness.

IDK guys to me it seems pretty good.

A stock E55Ti normally $795 now $636
A stock E56Ci normally $450 now $360
A stock E5Bi normally $250 now $200
A stock E1010i normally $499 now $399

To me these are decent sales. Nothing compared to the B stock ones but these are not B stock speakers.

If you want B stock maybe email them or call to see if they have any available. I got my towers, center, and surrounds all B stock.

So I just recently purchased a pair of klipsch rf82ii and a rc62ii, currently running them with a marantz avr, however the marantz is going back due to the fact that I bought it without the wife agreeing. Oh well, it was worth a shot. Anyway, I'll be going back to using my Yamaha RX-v671. So I like the klipsch at times, and other times not so much. I've been reading a lot about emp, and curious how they compare, good or bad to the klipsch I have. If anyone here is familiar with the speakers I have and how they compare, your opinion would be appreciated. Any similarities, or are they completely different? I'm mostly home theater and TV, with music here and there. I love the power, and clarity of klipsch, but yes, they can be a little "harsh-ish" at times. How do emp, hold up to movies? Do they require a lot of power, meaning I would need a better avr, or separates? All opinions welcome. Thanks

The reason why it's not a great sale is because they NEVER sold their speakers at MSRP in the first place. Their 'March Madness Sale' is based off of their MSRP.......so really it's more like a 5%-10% sale from what they normally have their prices. So it's still a sale....just nothing that will make people who had their eye on them for a while do cartwheels......

What am I missing here? If you were to buy A stock speakers from them prior to this sale the prices I listed above would be what you pay.

I will add msrp to my list.

A stock E55Ti normally $795 now $636 - MSRP = $995
A stock E56Ci normally $450 now $360 - MSRP = $650
A stock E5Bi normally $250 now $200 - MSRP = (CANT PULL THIS UP)
A stock E1010i normally $499 now $399 - MSRP = $850

I think you are confusing A stock and B stock speakers.

I've had many Klipsch speakers in the past and I currently have the emp 55ti's.This is a difficult comparison as they are completely different speakers. The horn tweeter is a very effecient design, requiring minimal power to drive. However,it does sound harsh and can become fatiguing. They are good for movies.....for music, not so much.

The emp's are a 3-way design with a fabric dome tweeter and 2 mid-range woofers, much better for music and vocals.....They are a nominal 6ohm speaker, but are easy to drive. The Klipsch are so efficient You could drive them witha mouse on a treadmill(lol).

For me,after having both Polk speakers and the Emp's,i could never go back to Klipsch and the horns....but,that's just me,I'm more of a 2-channel,music person,now....rolling tubes and buying the lastest Dac's.

For home theater, the Klipsch are pretty damn good.I would try out the Emp's,as they have a 30-day return policy....I'm extremely happy with my new 55ti's.....sometimes,it pays off to make a radical change.....hope this helps......peter

Just received my towers and center. The center channel is HUGE! They are on perfect condition. The boxes were a little beat up but for a b- stock I can not find anything wrong with the finish. I will post some reviews when I get everything hooked up and running. This may take a couple of days. I am waiting on my wires to get here from monoprice.

A guy that I work with bought my other setup and now I have no wires. I also received the new receiver today a Denon 2112ci. I am stoked but I waited this long so a couple more should not be that bad.

By the way the wife had everything unpacked before I got home. She is as excited as I am. These passed the WAF with flying colors.
