Absolutely. I'll take a post a few pics when I get home tonight.

I used these from Amazon. Can't beat it for the price.

Thank you for the link. Amazon had a ton of customer photo's. They look very robust and in the customer pictures they are holding some beefy speakers. They shouldn't have a problem holding the R5Bi at all.

Thanks again.

Me too!

A guy near me in OKC is an RBH dealer and has the modular tower setup. Always wanted to hear it. The SV bookshelves look intriguing though. Wonder how much he can get them in my hands for...Hm..

Not sure if you've already made your purchase for Atmos speakers, but I just stopped by RBH this past week and worked with John (owner) to purchase a full 7.4.4 Impression speaker system. He matched the Impressions with the VA-615 Visage Series in-ceiling speakers...

Is the RBH home also in Utah (like the EMPtek factory/home is)?

They are now again, but for a period, they were their own company with an affiliation with RBH. in 2016, RBH reabsorbed EMPtek. On the old web site, there was a seperate building with the EMP logo on it.

I believe they are all one company now and all using one name "RBH". There is no more emptek.com and now its all under rbhsound.com site. But do they assemble the impression series (emp tek) speakers in same building as higher line rbh offerings? I'm not sure.

Yes, i guess it is immaterial, but the answer to my question is yes, they have the same physical address and likely always did, even when they didn't have the same name.

They are in the same physical building... RBH logo's are painted on one end of the building... EMPTek on the other... They've been in this 'new' building for several years, but prior to moving there, they were about 1 mile North... at that point, they may have been in separate buildings... I'm not certain.

Hello everyone! I'll be completely transparent and let you know I work at RBH Sound. I was just cruising around on the forums and saw a couple questions arise...

RBH (Roger B Hassing) Sound has been around for a little more than 40 years now, and the owner Roger is still going strong! We originally created the EMPTek name to provide an online selling opportunity and also keep our custom installation professionals happy. At the time it was just easiest to keep them under separate names. Recently, as you have all noticed, we are in the process of bringing all of our daughter companies (EMPTek, Destination Audio, and Status Acoustics) back under the RBH name. You can access all of them from our current website.

The good news is, the same engineering department that deals with design and refinement of our Signature and Status Acoustic series, is the same one over the Impression line. That's why it sounds so good

To answer one last question, yes, all of our freestanding speakers are assembled and tested here at the RBH Facility here in Layton.

Thank you all for being loyal customers, and we do hope you enjoy your speakers!

Thank for the clarification and hopefully, you will stop in from time to time. We have an occassional Brian Tracy posting. I know I enjoy the fact that I can go on the Philharmonic thread and Dennis Murphy is a regular contributor to the thread! Nothing like the horses mouth...
We heard about a possible redesign of the impression series, but apparently some design hurdles shelved that idea. Any thoughts on revisiting the potential redesign? i cannot imagine you can make a better speaker without some significant price jumps, but I for one wouldn't complain if there was a model that fit somewhere between the impression series and the low end of the RBH line.
Btw, hoping to win the lotto soon, becuase I would love to own a set of the RBH sign series with RAAL ribbons! Let me know if you need someone to test a set for a couple years!

With this mount did you have to screw into the speakers at all? I am just wondering if their is enough surface to grip with the curved sides. I was looking at these https://www.amazon.com/Mount-Anti-Th...rum-convert-20. It looks like the screw holes on the back of the speakers would fit. I don't know if anybody has any experience with them.

Will do. Got them for a killer deal. $265/pr new! Can't beat that for a heavy, supposedly very nice sounding bookshelf. Tharbarmar on Youtube told me he thought the RP-160m was right there with the SVS Ultra, which he loved and is one of his favorites next to his LS50's and Ascend RAAL towers. Another owner of the Ultra bookshelves said him a few others did a blind test and actually picked out the RP-160m over the Ultra. With all the good reviews...I just had to try it. It'll be paired with my e1010i sub, which will hopefully get replaced someday with a something like a sb16ultra/etc. Tiny, but powerful.

Also trying to figure out if there's a Chane A1.4 owner near me as I'd like to audition those too

Audition as much as you can. That means you are doing it right since everyone hears and likes different things.

I also own RP160s which are used as my rears along with RP280s as my mains. But for the price you paid you got great deal and let us know your impressions. I think I already know which you will enjoy more.

Whoa, where was this from?

I've been tempted to try out one of these using Crutchfield's flat rate $10 return shipping policy...

~ Are you a "geek hobbyist" obsessed with squeezing out that last 5-10% improvement? The economy will thank you...especially the Chinese one. Or are you more of a get-set-and-forget "casual user" who simply wants to increase your enjoyment of movies, TV and gaming? Relax, HT isn't rocket science, nor does it have to cost an arm and a leg---especially if you ignore the aforementioned vocal minority. And remember to smile...it's just a silly hobby, after all. :)

Yeah I was tempted to buy a pair (full-price or whatever) at Best Buy to try them out and have the ability to return (whether I liked them or not), but I figured with all the rave reviews from people comparing other great speakers and not just these 'review' sites that might be paid I'd just give them a go.

I ordered from SoundDistributors (reputable place) on Ebay as they have a few pairs of 'open-box' sets. Their open-box is like new from what I read and what I was told. Usually it's not even opened, just a return from wrong address or something. Tons of people have ordered from there so I felt comfortable with them. So between a big discount for that AND Ebay had a coupon yesterday for 10% off...it came out pretty cheap!

perhaps most of you have heard the interview/you tube conversations, but Gene from audioholics has a couple very nice interviews with Shane Rich from RBH/EMP. I suspect they are a few years old, but I just watched them for the first time this winter. Good stuff...

With atmos gaining popularity I believe they are just removing the bi/dipole configurations and focus more on monopole designs. If you want another pair better grab them now if they have any left! And how is your theater coming along?

seems like since we moved in the new house the wifey decided to add more house projects and pushing down my HT build on the bottom of the list LOL! i'm still planning on a 7.2.4 setup amd trying to decide to go with some RBH for Atmos or the RSL's. with my current E56wi's i could either use them for side surrounds and order a pair of E5bi's for rear surrounds or pickup another pair of E56wi's for rear surrounds? adding the 2nd Klipsch sub really engulfs me with the low frequencies! are you running Atmos yet ereed?

We just haven't had much interest in bi/dipole surrounds lately. So we have discontinued them both in the Impression line and even our Signature line, we like them, but not enough people seem to know their advantages. If anyone on here is wondering if we have any left over, we do have just a few in stock that we have decided we can let out the door.

can you PM a price?! appreciate it!

also, i'm assuming that any RBH products would have to be ordered through an authorized dealer instead of ordering directly through you like we did with the Emptek line? also, i was browsing through your products on the RBH website which speakers are recommended for Atmos?

No and not for a while. I'm running 5.2 setup. Recently I did move my dual pb13s nearfield that used to be under the 120 inch screen and that was the biggest bass improvement I've had. So far my 5.2 setup sounds really good and I'm not ready to ditch my prepro for newer prepro just to get atmos. Its not worth the expense at this moment for me. If I was starting a build from scratch, that would be a different story.

PM sent.

Actually we're still offering the Impression Series online. Really there was no change other than website/name change.

If you're looking for in-ceiling atmos speakers, that would depend on ceiling height but I would look into and ask a dealer about the VA-615 for standard ceiling height, and the A-815 for anything higher or for more overall bass output.
