i want to get 3 Triad inwall gold/6s up front, but for the surrounds will i be giving up too much by going with (2) Triad inwall silver/6's?

the gold/6 in walls have just too big of a grill for my wife (40x14).

any creative way to hide some of the speaker grill (besides painting it flush)?

I don't see a problem with going with the Silver surrounds at all.

Tony is correct.

And you don't have to paint the surrounds. We match the paint for free.

If you're speaking about our Surrounds, the InWall Silver/4 Surround is used quite often with Gold LCRs, or even Gold Monitors. No problemo...

but ideally 5 inwall gold/6 would be best for timber matching no?
am i giving up anything by going with the silver/6 for surrounds?

roughly, what are the gold/6's and silver/6's inwall list price per pair?

thanks again,
audio newb.

Yes, something can be said for having all 5 speakers being the same. However, rear surrounds are not nearly as important as the L/C/R being identical.

If you have a live room that's fairly big, go with dipoles. If the room is well treated and/or smaller, and you have limited seating, go with direct-radiating. Five identical speakers work great unless you have a small, dead room with lots of seats, and then they "hot spot."

The InWall Silver/4 Surround is $800 each. The InWall Gold/4 Surround is $1,600. The InWall Gold/6 LCR is $2,150 each. The "/6" designation indicates the minimum stud space required for installation.
