If you're considering the SVS SBS's, you may want to upgrade to the SCS's.

Your going to get lots of opinions because we all love our speakers, but I'll also second Axiom Audio.

for that money I woukd be looking in the used market. try Audiogon.com you can find some great deals on like new speakers there. You should also check out the other ID brands. Acend Serias + sub would be one good solution. You should also try to audition some of the NHT offerings, good bang for buck for the commercial offerings.

Best thing you can do is to get out there and audition as many speakers as you can, and pick what you like the best. Even if you listen to stuff out of your price range you can try and find it used or dealer demo to get back to your budget.

cheers and good luck,
Funk

PMON 1000's
PCENTER 2000
PMON 800's
SVS PD 10 sub

= $1500
