Alright here's my problem:

I have a really great quality 5.1 Surround Speaker system from Boston Acoustics (a subwoofer and four discrete speakers). The sound system was originally purchased for my computer. The input into the subwoofer is two pins - each responsible for two channels (Front and Surround) that used to plug into my sound card.

I would like to use the sound system with my iPod/iPhone now; however, as the output of the iPod/iPhone is one pin - I can only get sound in one of two channels in my sound system.

Is there any way (some splitter hardware?) that I can make the output from my iPhone compatible with the two pin input of my sound system? (so that I can have sound in all four speakers - not even necessarily surround sound).

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Possibly Y-adapters of some sort from Radioshack would do it. The end that plugs into the sub sounds like a 1/8" stereo mini-jack.
