My Setup

HK AVR 254 off ebay
Energy Take 5.1 off Vanns

Current Shopping Cart on monoprice

620 12ft Coaxial Audio/Video RCA Cable M/M RG59U 75ohm (for S/PDIF, Digital Coax, Subwoofer & Composite Video)

2 X 3022 Speaker Stand - Black (SS-01) - Set of 2

2789 12AWG Enhanced Loud Oxygen-Free Copper Speaker Wire Cable - 100ft $22.93 $22.93

2801 5 X 1 PAIR OF High-Quality Copper Speaker Banana Plugs - Closed Screw Type [JX-74043]

My question:

1. Will the banana plug fit behind the Energy Take 5 satellites (so that I can get 5 more pairs

2. Will the monoprice stands work for Energy Take 5 satellites ? (wall mount is not an option.)

Thanks so much to contributors on this forum.. I learnt so much from you guys!

Ok, from looking at the pictures, the stands should definitely work.

As for the banana plugs, its very hard to tell, take a look at these pictures:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0021L9BME

And it appears that they may just be screw down terminals. Now, those red and black plastic parts on the top *might* pull out so you can use a banana plug, but i can't be 100% certain.

If it were me, i'd buy enough banana plugs for the receiver side of the cable and go bare wire or a spade type of connection for the speaker side to be on the safe side.

The red and black plastic plugs come out, you just unscrew the post all the way and pry them out. Banana plugs will work.
