a family member has these speakers sitting in a dining room not hooked up to anything. he says they still work great. but he cannot remember the model. hopefully someone will recognize. all i know is that they are Altec speakers

They look vaguely like a pair of Altecs a friend of mine had years ago big as a car and built out of real wood - Barcelona or some damn name like that. Many of the old Altec Lansing speakers can fetch a pretty good price from the right collector/restorer.
The 10" and 12" woofer with a horn was common - not sure whats in those but they look to be quite large - another hallmark of Altec Lansing.

he says 12 or 15 inch woofer with a horn that almost covers the whole width. i'll have to check the name barcelona
