Hi Carl,

Thanks and I will check with Mark.

BTW has anyone upgraded the Cat 12 to full range. Is it worth it?

Since I have to send in my Amp for repair might well upgrade all into full range since my other amps had occasionally intermittent cut off.

Hi

Another loud "POP" sound and now the ch 3 LF also gone.

Only the HF is working. So should be the amp problem.

Need some advise, if I will to upgrade to Full Range do you guy think need to upgrade 2 or 3 of it.

Since full range is only for Music listening only. For HT I xover at 60 hz. For HT do I need full range?

Thanks
Marcus

I don't think I would only do one, but that is a question that I would ask Mark. (DSP change at all &
only one)

Hi Carl,

Thanks, I won't upgrade 1. Either 2 or 3.

Faulty amplifiers

Hi Mark, I hate to do this but you've left me no choice, you have not responded to me in over a year to resolve this!

I first contacted you in Sep 2014 about two faulty amps.
It took you till Jan 2015 to respond.
Feb 2015 the amps were shipped to you.
March 2015 you said the amps were to be shipped back to me.

That was your last communication. Despite numerous emails from me you have not responded or shipped the amplifiers back.

It has been a year and a half since I raised the issue and over a year since you last communicated with me about this.

To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Can you please resolve this by sending the amplifiers back.

My CAT12s are sitting behind an AT screen, and its a PITA to keep lifting the screen to turn them off from the rear amp.

I tried searching for this info, but found it difficult to find a definitive answer.
I think I have it detailed in my build thread how I ran the romex for the outlet for the subs and Catalysts back to my equipment room where there are simple switches controlling power to those outlets. I used high current capable switches and they are the kind that glow red so you can see them in the dark or if they are on or off easily.

Wow, really bad service.............There's no excuse.
How hard is it to box up a couple of amps and send them back.
Obvious he doesn't believe in providing service, which is a real shame.
Hopefully you get this sorted out soon.

Is there anywhere to go to see all of Seaton's current products? His forum is pretty dead and his Facebook doesn't really list them. Thanks.

This is absolute ****ing ridiculous!!! Ffs just send the man back his amps that he rightfully deserves!!!.... As an Australian Seaton customer this really makes me worried!!. I know Macca350 personally and this issue has been going on for over a year heading to two years now....and he still doesn't have his amps yet. This is horrible.... God help me if something ever goes wrong with my Cat12's and Submersives.

Give the guy a break, he already spends most of his time responding to customer complaints, anymore and he won't have time left to actually build speakers !

If something happened to my Seaton speakers, I would just send it to a local repair shop that specialises in hifi repairs.

If it was a few weeks without amps.... We can give him a break..... One year and more with no amps and promise after promise of sending them back.....and the customer still has no amps.... Well that's just blood ridiculous!.....Macca has been very patient with him regarding this. It's about time Mark comes through on his promise.

There is very little action on this thread. Better luck might be had on the longer running "Seaton Sound SubMersive1" thread.

They sound great at all volumes. The amps and DSP keep them even and smooth. Low volume listening will have a lot to do with your room noise floor and acoustics.

I listen to music a big percentage of time at low to moderate volume. They sound great & I would buy again.

Would there be any problems running a catalyst from a standard 15amp outlet?

well - getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on a set.

Can I ask how many guys are using an AVR with pre-outs? Anything sacrificed in using rca-to-speakon converter?

I'd ask Mark, but he told me no problem doing that with my SubMersives. I doubt there is any real sacrifice doing this with speakers.

Assuming no other issues, there is no problem with using RCA to XLR adapters. Keep in mind the PowerCon connector is the power cable. The line level input is XLR.

Here is the locking power cable:

Hi Mark,

We're now 1 year and 10 months since I first raised this issue with you and just shy of 1 year since I sent you the amps.

I'm tired if hearing promises, just send them back please.

**The Official Seaton Sound Speaker Thread**

Finally looks like these will be on the move. Just received Fedex tracking info stating Mark sent shipping info to Fedex half an hour after I posted in the other thread.

Thanks Mark, much appreciated. I really wish I didn't have to resort to posting in here to get this sorted. But I'm looking forward to having both systems up and running at full capacity.

Cheers
