N8, did you get your OS pros yet? What do you plan on using to power them?

Yup 2. I only ordered 1 at first but the shipping was way cheaper to order both at the same time, so I saved myself 300$ by ordering both instead of one now and one in a few months.

Cool, you must be suffering since the loss of your GHorns and dual OS Pro's is just the medicine you need.

Pretty much! I don't really miss the ghorns at all to my surprise. What I do want is some more slam above 30Hz, so the OS pro's will be perfect.
Also there are 4 new neo 24s being worked on for the ULF lol

I am looking for a single 228 with the metal waveguide. I prefer the standard finish if possible. Shoot me an email if you have one you want to sell.

I got the OS pro's instead for now. The 32 is still a ways off anyways. My current 21s will be put in storage and the new 24s will take their place.
The 32 is still a possibility but I'd have to build the box in room, since my doors are only 30" wide in my basement then it would have to be destroyed to get it out....not sure I want to go that route yet.... But I will still get the prototype to play with. I will just slap a fast box that I can get in my front door so I can play with it.

I have 7.2.4+NF consisting of eight S8(various form factor) and lcr 228ht with two cap 1400s.

Honestly I'm in love with it. I think having matching drivers around and above the room is phenomenal. BUT.....what if I repurposed the 228ht as surrounds and threw in a pair of 210RT or even a trio for LCR? I've even debated just replacing the center 228 with a 210.....

I have some issues shown by REW around the 45-55hz area and at the 80hz XO due to placement, especially with center. Hate to disrupt a matched driver config, but I wonder if it will help with my odd room restrictions....I could be throwing money at an incurable problem and/or feeding my love for 10" drivers....I'm really worried I'll disrupt the xx8 seamless-ness?

Marantz NR1607, Crown XLS1500 (2 in bridge mode for mains)
JTR 210RT, JTR Cap S2
Samsung 78” Curved LED 4K (KU7500)
Oppo UDP-203 UHD HDR BD player, AppleTV Gen4, Synology DS216play

It will sound awesome, the 210RT's are a hell of a speaker.

If you do it and have some S8-LP's to sell, Ill relieve you of them. =)

Thought I'd post a couple pictures of my setup. Lbrown posted a couple pictures of my os's under the screen but I finally got around to building a false wall for an AT screen. I was able to get both os's and the 212's behind there. He helped me run Dirac and rew and it looks great and sounds amazing!

The stands under the 212's are open (hard to tell in the pic) so the os's fire into the stands and then redirect into the room.

Salama lakam Pop!

There is something special about the Orbit Shifters bass note (tonal quality) but the clean tightly integrated bass of the 215RT's woofers has become the new gold standard for me. They handle the entire frequency range (top to bottom) with such ease and coherence that I never think about needing any other speaker including subs.

I like trying new stuff and still go listen to other setups, but these are just so perfectly suited to my taste that I no longer wonder what if ...

The quality and speed with which you have transformed your room is amazing. People have no idea the sound they are in for because you cannot see any speakers even the OS's! Great job

Royals by Pentatonix sounds amazing.
Vocals are crystal clear and there is great kick in the low end.

I have seen several Atmos titles by now and am impressed.
3D audio is not a fad but real improvement on the previous best formats.

Still enjoying my system and yet have to install the Powersoft K3
on the Captivators. .
