Nice!

How much room from the screen to that back wall?

That looks great and I'm jealous of all the space you have behind the screen. I know you just got them setup, but have you measured and are you planning to try different locations/orientations with 4000's?

This has happened a number of times - I was watching an older movie this evening (Flyboys) and was marveling at how nice everything sounded and how nice and deep the bass was (and how it was vibrating my couch). I then remembered I was listening to to 2 channel music last night and turned off all of my subs.

The 215RT's amaze me more and more each day.

I have the great opportunity to wait 7-8 weeks The 4722's at a minimum if not subs are all sold if I can get a decent freight quote. Subs at 76" maybe not so much, might need local buyer for them. So I will have a month or longer on a pair of JBL LSR 305's which will put big speakers back into appreciation.

There is a song I will listen first. Google "KV9 headshot Soundcloud." Make sure your nanoavr house curve is ramped up, enjoy! Some random dubstep mix I found when looking for bass music. IMO some of the best bass.

He is getting 215RT's. I plan to be picking up my 215RT LCR's at AXPONA. I've heard the 215RT's in 6 rooms now (California, Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Florida). I'll add Illinois to that list soon. They are my favorite speaker from JTR. I'm looking forward to getting these to my own house.

A horizontal move (In most opinions performance wise besides extension) but I have always wanted to try the BMS 4593 and the extension will allow no needed subs for awhile. And while still monsters in their own right like the 4722 they will be a tad easier to accommodate due to 17" width and no subs needed.

That's a lotta states. Did they sound any different in Colorado than they did in any other state? For obvious reasons....

You know, elevation and such

Whatcha doin with that cap4000 after you scoop it back up? Wanna bring it to listen to in North Carolina? Leave it for dead?

Thanks DD So we have 6/7 of the 215RT's covered from Axpona then! Congrats to you as well then, your system keeps getting better.

Nate, I'm crazy enough to think 215RT's are a downgrade in foot print to what I have now which technically including subs it is. This is for a 'smaller' non theater stereo setup until I get a room after our moving around is settled. My first potential thought was after the JBL/JTR talk last week so I emailed Jeff about some 210RT's or 212RT's. I am massively music dominant but do love a good cinema speaker and a 38hz tune would do. But Jeff appears to be an enabler like @beastaudio and he talked me up to the 215RT's

Having the six 15's uniformly distributed across the front, positioned much higher than a traditional sub setup must be a contributing factor (or the secret sauce ). Having watched Hacksaw Ridge and Deep Water Horizon this week at very spirited levels, I can say that I do not need additional subwoofers. With 2 channel music it is even more difficult to make a case for separate subwoofers.

I remember my Revel Ultima mains and JL Audio Fathom front end as pretty spectacular for music played at normal listening levels. But if I wanted to crank up say Comfortably Numb to concert levels, they just could't do the job. With movies it was even more apparent due to the weakness of the Revel Voice ($7,500) center channel. Dialog intelligibility, strong bass and the speakers dynamic capability are what makes the movie experience special IMHO. The 215RT's are in a very small class of speakers that can do it all.

Anxiety is contagious, please keep yours to yourself.

When I had them I knew the only reason I needed more subs was because of being on concrete. I bet you have headroom to spare.

I should also point out that I was only giving them 400 ish watts a piece, so a lot was left on the table.

At one point Jeff mentioned he was considering making a sub with the same enclosure (215RT) minus the waveguide. 3 215RT's with a few of those subs as fillers in between would be a nice front stage.

What day at Axpona is your JTR 215RT concert? @Randy Bessinger and I and a few other KC guys ( @carp ?) are hoping to make it to the show.

Are you talking about the live shows? They are 6:30-9:30 on Friday and 6:30-8:30 on Saturday. I don't think the concerts are using the 215RT's, though.

The room is LaSalle Salon C and will have the seven JTR Noesis 215RT's in it. AXPONA will be updating their website with the change from LaSalle B to LaSalle C. LaSalle B will now be empty leaving a nice buffer zone around the JTR room. Every once in a while Jeff will be nudging the volume up higher, and higher, and higher.

Room hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. Sunday is 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. During those hours, the 215RT's and JVC DLA-RS4500 will be performing.

Do you still hold the subjective position of 215RT>Any of the Revel's or so called audiophile speakers for music?
