Anyone who is at Axpona would you please post pics, including the designer (JP, if he agrees to) with his system?

Please also post the materials, music CD and/or movies, Jeff uses for his demo's. I think people, well at least me anyway, would be interested to know. Thanks!

I'm sorry, I didn't take pics. I had something come up and had to leave and I just forgot. Jeff is in the room that had been occupied by Seaton, right next to Emotiva. It was a nice layout and he made two rooms out of the one. When you first walked in, there was a setup comprising two red 210Rt's exactly like the photo on the new web site (very nice, btw). I didn't get a chance to listen to them. In the second room there were 7 215 RT's arranged in a surround sound format (three up front, two to the sides and two in the rear). It was very dark, so photos would have been a bit annoying to the people enjoying the show. There was a large screen with what I think Jeff said was a new JVC 4k projector. Possibly laser. It had a really nice picture. I believe that the whole thing was powered by Jriver media center 22. It really was a great setup. When I was there the volume was moderate and it always floors me how smooth the 215's are. I only say a couple of songs from two different concerts, but they really sounded great. Jeff did a really nice job with the layout of his space and I'm sure that there will be a bunch of very positive write up about his listening room.

Sorry again about not taking photos.

Awesome! Glad to hear the reinforcing 215 smoothness comment. IMO the mark of a great speaker always brings thoughts into your mind on how good they sound once again. Hopefully he will have a similar surround speaker set up next year as I would love to hear what it sounds like to have seven of those things surrounding you! Especially with bass heavy clips!

Quick Google search yielded a Seaton Sound Vid. Mark said "new speaker solutions to enable in wall and Atmos." Maybe these are not new Axpona 2017 releases but first I had heard of them.

Looks Like Jeff and Mark have really developed the rooms at Axpona!

The JTR/High Impact, and Seymour room was incredible. The sound and video quality were both outstanding. Great job running the demo material and switching from concert BD and movies. Deadpool demo was fantastic! Copious, crisp and cohesive bass....

Jpowell and Desert Dome, congrats on scoring the 215RT's!

Sweet I'm ready for them to make their way back to WI then on a pallet to me!

I was thinking that DP demo would be amazing to demo with.

Does anyone know anyone here on AVS making demo discs still? I bought a couple 3 years ago but would like to get some with updated movie scenes. And it's nice to support a little small time operation of a fellow enthusiast...

I thought this was pretty funny

http://secure.campaigner.com/csb/Pub...-c7mfp-ykum8r0

The part that made me laugh...

Quote:
As I wondered through the marketplace ballroom, I couldn't help but hear the very loud rumbling of the adjacent Seaton Sound room. I haven't actually been in their sectioned off portion of the large ballroom but their intrusive low frequencies were booming through the soft, moveable wall and disrupting the conversations in the marketplace. I heard from several companies that management and individuals have requested that they tone down their volume — they refused. How polite. Loud isn't necessarily better.

Jeff is gonna be really pissed if Seaton gets more complaints than he does ...

In any case, those tight sphincter audiophools need a little organ massaging bass in their steril lives.

I cannot believe I missed the show. I really wanted to go and forgot all about it. Oh well, catch it again. I still cannot understand why there are no major audio shows in the east. Makes no sense.

Yeah, and he assumed it was just HT. Had he had the intellectual curiosity to go over there and take a listen to some multichannel music on Jeff's setup maybe he might have educated himself a bit on what's possible outside the audiophool circles.

That is funny. No one ever found me to make any such request. There was one guy who apparently lost it on Sunday and walked into the doorway and screamed out some sort of complaint about too loud, too expensive, too obnoxious home theater systems. The curtains muffled most of what he said as he didn't step past them at the entry, but he stormed away very red-faced and apparently there was a lot more noise as observed from the hallway as it got the attention of security who went and had a chat with him.

I saw Dr. AIX come out of Mark's room (at the entrance). I said Hi and he replied but he did not look happy. I have met him in the past and he was pleasant but it was several years ago. One of his complaints in his blog linked was at Parts Express and they were mainly demoing the Keele line array. I thought it was fine and I got to chat briefly with Don Keele.

Official JTR speaker thread

Some of you already seen these in my thread for my subs but here's the jtr pictures I took at Axpona.

Jeff is a stand up guy and very friendly in person JTR will be my next upgrade for sure. JTR was my favorite room besides Seaton audio's room. I spent the last hour in this room before we left for the day. He played all kind of different demos they were all my favorite but let me tell you THe Art of Flight was unreal with the amount of bass and clarity coming from those speakers. There was 7 of us there and everyone just looked at each other with a huge cheesy smile on there face during that clip. The audio show was a great time!

Had a wonderful atime at the show yesterday. It was great to see the enthusiasm for all things audio and video. I had a chance to talk to Jeff about the room and it truly was extraordinary. The Seymour enlighter screen and the JVC 4K projector were breathtaking. As well as the audio with the 215rt speakers effortlessly pressurizing the 30x60 room. Art of flight was outstanding, but what stood out for me was was Brave with its clarity and punch.

Do you know what Elton John demo that is in your pic?
