OK.. I'll do a run with out the antimode tomorrow. JP..BTW, that run was 5-20,000.

Oh my bad. It's good to see what our baseline response it. Are you open to moving your subs if it gives you a better response? I must say that your recent pic is bad a$$!!!!

NOOOOO! Don't say the moving of the subs question.. It's just to darn big and heavy. Nah.. Just kindling bro! But I do dread it when I start moving them around. And getting into REW was the whole reason anyway. Wifey don't like the way it's setup right now. She said it makes the HT room look mad! Lol. Besides don't want to take away the show from the JTR speakers when upfront. lol.. Well! I have to bust out my appliance hand truck again.. Darn..
Ok off topic. Just last night I watched Underworld Awakening. And you know the part where the elevator start to fall towards her. And she start shooting at it to make a hole? OH MY! Those gun shots coming out really fast made my whole entire couch, walls, floor, my whole body just friggin vibrate! 2 picture frames in the dining area which is next to my HT room fell off. Had to check my ceiling to see if the crack didn't get any longer. The bass is just heavy and violent. Nuts! Watched the whole movie at -12.

Haha. I just love reading about new owners experiences with the jtr subs. Everytime I turn up the orbit shifter to demo to pals I have to sweep my floor cause bits of ceiling n dust would have fallen off

Concentrate on finding the location that gives the Best FR for two of the S2s. Once you have established the ideal location for the first two simply stack the 2nd pair on top or beside the first pair.

Two pair of Cap S2s Stacked or Co-located should be F'ing Awesome with a FR that proves it. biggrin.gifsmile.gif

Never thought if that since it says in the site the two 12's are in a vented enclosure. And says the midrange 12 with Cd is sealed so would this not affect sound quality????

It's not sealed, it's open behind all the speakers. I had mine shipped out with CD on top.

I think the original Triples had a sealed enclosure for the coaxial mid/CD but changes in the CD of the more recent models no longer required the sealed enclosure for the Coax so you can move the drivers as desired/required.

Well, after finding out the rough pricing, I will for sure be going with the 215's! I had the faith he would keep it under $4. I'm betting a $3799 price. Either way, I'm in for sure!!

Sounds awesome. Didn't you just buy the 212s with a custom center? I just sold my T12 and T8 front three channels so need to make up my mind on 212,210 or 215 for new speakers. Let me know if you are selling tongue.gif

The new center I still haven't got yet. I've got the second set of Noesis Jeff made last year when they were released, RMK being the first. I'll have to use that center no matter what as it's made to fit, nothing he comes out with can possibly fit if they are vented, so Jeff's already told me the center I ordered will be a great match.

Yeah, there was a time when I thought under $12K was reasonable for LCR's. Been spoiled of late ...

For me that number includes the subs so really not bad at all and I'm determined to make it work. smile.gifwink.gif

I think you'll have a great time with your new speakers! The timeline of their release really couldn't work out better since the wife is on mat leave and she'll be going back to work at the end of March.

I knew I liked him when he reacted by seeing my albums on the wall and stating that Master of Puppets is his favorite album. smile.gif

Anyway, he is interested in upgrading from dual SVS 20-39's to dual SI 18's with flat packs so he wanted to hear my subs. However it seemed to me like (I could be wrong about this) that he was even more impressed with the Noesis. While listening to music he said he has heard Wilson's (I can't remember which model) and they didn't sound as good or have the clarity of the Noesis.

We did go nuts with the subs on a few scenes and it has me questioning why I want more headroom. I used an even steeper house curve than I normally use and I think I'm at the limits of my room as is. My back wall is flexing so much I'm surprised it hasn't cracked. If I ever do add more subs it would be to experiment with nearfield placement.

I recently bought these http://www.parts-express.com/buttkicker-ri-4-pak-medium-kinetic-furniture-isolators-set-of-5--300-9462 to put under my front row love seat. So far I cant tell much of a difference but I want to try the under 15 hz stuff using a LPF on the minidsp and see if I can feel anything. Last time I tried that all I got was bad noises from the house but I didn't feel anything (I also need to try the same on the second row riser).

Sorry for taking so long to reply...just got back to MN. Thank you again for taking the time right before Christmas Eve to have me over.

I was more impressed with the Noesis; not to say the 8 SI 18's weren't impressive biggrin.gif . I have listened to the Wilson Watt Puppy with Watchdog sub, many, many years ago. And while it's impossibly to fully recall audio from that far back, I can remember how impressed I was with them. That being said, the 212 just blew me away. Which is exactly what I told my wife. I loved the movie demos, but man those things sound so clean with music.

The movie demos have made me question going with just 2 sealed 18s in my basement....I honestly don't think it will be enough. I'll start with 2, but I know I'm going to want more.

Hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas. Have a safe New Year!
