For those of you who have the Sherbourn PA 7350 or any other 12v trigger scenarios please help on the 7350 thread.

Ugh, taking photos and videos isn't my forte but I will make an effort to document the process as best I can. I was contacted today by the delivery company and the 215's (all 700lbs of them) are set for a Wed afternoon delivery. Gettin excited cool.gif

Hope my neighbor doesn't see them arrive, he's Wendy Whiner's brother, Wade (don't fact check me on that one) ...tongue.gif

I don't have an answer, but oddly enough trigger 1 on my marantz av8801 burned out last night! I could smell burning electronics after I plugged in an Ethernet cable on the back of the AVR. I must have somehow caused a short on the cable.... Not sure how though,

I assume you have the 7350 too? It seems that perhaps there could be a problem with shorted trigger relays on the amps...

I'm using dlbeck's 212HT-LP's for a couple of weeks. I thought you guys might like a few pictures. I'm going to have to watch a movie with these and my LS-6's moved to surrounds. If anyone in the Omaha area wants to hear these, let me know.

Here are the mains/MBM's for dlbeck's The Savoy theater. I'm listening to the 2014 NE Loudspeaker GTG playlist. I have infinite baffle subwoofer manifolds in each corner of my room with a large cast iron grate. This prevents me from positioning the speaker/MBM's further to the sides.

Yep. 3 215's as LCR's. They are being delivered tomorrow. Jeff is flying out and will be here to help with the setup. Looks like desertdome is also hoping on a plane west and will be here on Friday to setup JRiver with 215RT LCR's. Between Jeff and DD we should get some good measurements done to show how this full range experiment pans out graph wise.

It is shaping up like a very interesting weekend ... smile.gif

I responded and asked a question to you on the 7350 thread. Gonna test it all out. I hope I can get it to work cuz it gets repetitive turning everything on manually. #firstworldproblems

I will see you there if you are there on Sunday, I am helping Jeff with the room that day. Should be fun I have never been to this show but I guess it's a two channel audience.

No. I don't have that amp. My trigger goes to a relay that I put together to turn on the sockets for my amps. It is entirely possible I caused the short with my wiring but when the trigger burned out, I was poking around the AVR's back and the wiring on the relay has been ok for months.

Ok I have a successful update. I grabbed another 6ft 1/8 male to male plug, stereo this time but I think it matters not, and it is successful. Turns on and off with the Denon and does not get warm.

Yeah, it is very cool that Jeff and DD are coming out for the GTG. Hearing how a a big full range speaker setup like the 215RT handles HT and music without external subwoofer support is going to be really interesting, I am also looking forward to seeing what JRiver can do mixing and EQ wise vs the Rane and of course the comparison of the W4S amps vs the LG running the 215's. Should be a good couple of days.cool.gif

The shock of my life came the other night when my wife said to me that my 212's are beautiful and she cannot live with out them eek.gif Without them including the whole set up. I wanted to fall face first into my dinner plate. I gotta say when I use to put on a movie and crank it up she would complain, now I crank it up and she says nothing, not a peep.

What type speakers did you use in the past that made her complained?

Few years back I had a girl friend (clarification is for Herr Frohlich) who loved the JTR T12's and Orbit Shifters. She was constantly saying "turn it up" and "are the subs on?" ... While that might seem like a dream situation to some, there are more important things in life than HT compatibility.
My wife is happy to have the HT and enjoys it but has never said, turn it up and doesn't even know what a subwoofer is ... I'm good with that. smile.gif

Funny you should say that. In prepping for the 215RT's arrival I noticed a long sheetrock crack in the front wall (and not on a seam). Apparently, the Orbit Shifters were doing things to the structure that I wasn't aware of...redface.gif

Good thing I came to my senses and now will only have 6 15" drivers doing LFE duty ... tongue.gif
