I am considering purchasing a pair of T8 LPs for surround duty and trying to see if the dimensions will work in my room. At what height should the cd be (ear level, above the ear X feet, below the ear X feet) for optimal surround sound?

That would have been awesome! You would have had one insane motor. We can't get E-85 around here which is why I run a razors alky injection system on my regal. Last year I did a 11.35 @ 126 mph in it at 27lbs boost with a TE-44! Though other than the bottom end (still stock) that car has the best of everything. It's fun but finicky. The Truck will be my everyday ride as it is now. I got an aggressive tune but nothing insane, just have to run 94 octane in it, which is easy to get here. I know it's a truck but its one hell of a fun truck! Now if I could only get better than 9 MPG LOL

Nice! I love the old vette's. I sat in a new Stingray at the auto show and I did not fit very well. Good thing the top was down, cause my head was sticking out of the roof line by about 6". Don't think I would be able to drive it on a rainy day.

That's the truth. When Jeff was out here for a few days we were talking about Tom Danley and his designs. They are good friends and I asked Jeff if Tom had discussed the line source S-Horn with him. Jeff said; "we never talk business, just cars and motorcycles"

That is probably why they are still friends ... smile.gif

Well I got several room treatments built and hung. But I didn't scientifically place with the ETC in REW and I think my reflections may look worse. But I don't know how to interpret them. My FR response has improved though and noise floor decreased a few db's. I will get pics later...

My biggest issue with the JTRs is that now I spend an hour listening to music after every movie I watch.... This is really cutting into my sleep time. My coffee consumption has gone up. But, man, music is so engaging with these speakers, it's easy to lose track of time.

Depends upon what type of finish you want. Veneered or any optional finish like a smooth mat finish require an extra 4-6 weeks. My veneered 228HTs and smooth Slant 8HTs took 10 weeks but the order was placed end of last year so Jeff was buried with all of us trying to beat the price increases. I believe the standard finish ships in 4-6 weeks. Best to email or cal JTR for updated info.

I placed an order for 3xT8HT-LP's. Jeff has given me an ETA for end of next week (1 month). They do not have any upgraded veneers, etc.

Ok, now you're going to make me do it. I don't talk about that part of my life on these forums because I don't want all of you speaker geeks to feel bad that I'm a rad badass out kickin' @ss on my toys while you're sitting on the couch watching movies and eating candy.

So here it is. Faux chrome trim, awesome handlebar hanging thingamajigs, upgraded hub bearings and flashing spoke clickers. Sweeeet!
