Yea. I was thinking about that. But I have a plan. Since my audio components and display is already taking 2 of the 20 amp lines. I'm thinking of moving my whole audio rack over to the next room where there's I think 2 more. But that was were I was gonna rack the separate amps at. I think the amps could share the line with the other components. Since the amps takes all of the juice.

Just think of what could be done with that much in DIY subs. That's like 20 UXL-18's plus some amps from Speakerpower to power them with.

But I like moving them around. Besides I'm done doing garage work. Believe me, I've spent to much time in the garage when I use to race at the tracks a lot. Now that I have kids, 8 and 12. That is where I spend most of my weekend time. Besides, Jeff's a good guy. And for most of us already a friend. So let's help our friend out by giving him our business. None of us live forever you know. smile.gif

I hear ya on that, I was just thinking what you could really do with that though. Wouldn't be that hard either, just order 20 UXL-18's and 20 4cu/ft flat packs from Erich. Put them together and then find a automotive body shop to put a decent paint job on all 20. And a couple miniDSP's to EQ all of them, you'd have an insane bass setup then,

I'd recommend 16 UXL-18s as a pair of SpeakerPower SP2-8000 or SP2-12000 amps could drive all of them.

Yea, I've hung around the DIY section a lot before. Thought about it. Till my wife put some sense in me. "So, your gonna do work in the garage again?" Where in the world your gonna find time to do that? Your gonna burn up all your time on the weekends again. What about us and the kids? Stop being selfish! Then it hit me...

RMK-

5 x 215's scary but beautiful thought!.Jeff would have to offer sweet package deal?
So light canon through a AT Seymour the way to go...

Subguy-

that bottom edge on the lighting scares me some, of course a $3-5K JVC cheaper than the Sony big boys (10K+) But I might need the light canon, as RMK and coolgeek stated...

thanks for the guidance..

Island fever? When there on Oahu I had that feeling knowing I was on an island. I also have this weird thing around the ocean where I think about tsunamis all the time. I guess watching all the Japan footage scared me. But the beach there and the evenings and sunsets...I have friends who moved to Kona and just love it.

I love Kona.. The past December, we bought a 2 bedroom time share at Waikaloa through Hilton. About 10 min walk to Hilton Waikaloa Resort. Though it was still being built at that time. I've just got update that it'll be done by summer as scheduled. Already setup to go back and stay at the time share this coming December. But, Vegas first in the Thanksgiving week. smile.gif

We were going to go back to Maui April 2015, but I think we're going to go to Kona now too. My friends have a time share at the Hilton Waikiki and just went to Kona and they loved it. They've been going to Hawaii for the last 20 years and over the last 5 years they go 3-4 times a year now.

So I'm really thinking we'll go to Kona, of course if I can some how make it over to Oahu I can maybe get a demo from you!....lol biggrin.gif

Jb.. Definitely.. Hit me up before you come up. And hopefully the time you come up is not the same week of Axpona 2015.

Nice! For JB as well but the snorkeling in Kona is just awesome! Hookena bay is more of a local spot south of Kona but if you take a walk down aways a bit there is a spot to get in and make your way a couple hundred yards back to the bay. Just awesome! But everywhere the water is crystal clear!

LOL.... not going to lie, I have thought about buying two IXL-15.2.2's and building a slim but really wide ported enclosure that would fit against my back wall between the wall and back row of seats....lol

There is just something about a particular experience I had at a concert at Keller auditorium in Portland OR. The kick drum was SO powerful I could feel the bass wave moving through my body. It wasn't intense in an overwhelming way. It just put a big smile on my face. I was close and I am sure that helped but dang that is the dragon I am chasing. It was just wham and so precise and quick yet the authority was just ridiculous.

You'll need those 18 inch mid bass drivers.. not subwoofers... Install 4 of those and you'll get the kick in the chest!

Subwoofers can't do the 'quick and precise' mid bass that you're looking for.

Or get the 215's.. Even N8 stated in his review that the 215's stomped all over his MBM's.
