Could you let me know what is the best center speaker matching with Monitor Audio RS6 fronts?

I was not able to buy RSLCR as they are being replaced by RX series.

I would like to have one stop higher center compared to fronts as most of my time with speakers is for movies rather than music.

I have used Athena C1.2 and then now Elac cc61. They are good but I feel that the sound from those center speakers is somewhat suppressed.... not reaching out enough... Maybe this is the issue from my AV receiver as I am using old denon 2105.

One of my audiophile friends recommended Paradigm CC590. He told me that I cannot be satisfied even with RSLCR if I cannot be satisfied with the current center. Is it good for the combination?

Any other recommendation or thoughts?

Thank you in advance!

Here's a thought: Your "audiophile" friend is wrong.

The best center is another RS6, an RS1 or an RSLCR which are available and on sale here: http://www.saturdayaudio.com/picture...sale.htm#RSLCR

Thank you, Ron!! What about GRLCR? They are selling open boxed GRLCR at a very cheap price. I know it is discontinued but I think it is higher grade than RSLCR.

I heard that you can put higher grade center (same brand) in the system if you spend most of the time watching movies. Will GRLCR also work for me?

Thank you.

I dunno.

I have not heard the higher grade center theory but it doesn't seem ideal.

I used to have a MA Bronze LCR with Silver L/R and I didn't feel it was ideal, but not sure if it was a timbre match problem. a quality difference, or a placebo effect.

I'd ask this in the Monitor Audio thread.

I'd look around for a matching RS LCR, even if you have to transport it from interstate, it would be your best bet.
