There is a few different jamo replacement tweeters they have. These all look alot beefier but the power ratings are all about the same.

The JAMO 20134 1" Soft Dome Tweeter look similar to what the E680 uses.

the first one is used in Jamo Cornet 195 speaker, which has the best sound ever heard....they are really great speakers but can not find'em anymore...

really?! there is a guy selling a set of these localy off craigs list. Are they just stereo speakers? like for just music?

what about that JAMO 20132/23455 3/8" Polymer Dome Tweeter it looks heavy duty but kinda cheezy. maybe what the 406 towers use? never mind they seem like soft dome type.

Im not sure what speakers those JAMO 20132/23455 3/8" Polymer Dome Tweeter are used in.

Can I ask how you got the piano black face on the black ash color where on the jamo website they are metallic grey?

The piano black face belongs on the dark apple. Did you paint them?

One thing no one mentioned in the several pages of this post is that Jamo is at the mercy of Klipsch now. My setup I bought 6 years ago was made in Denmark where Jamo was based. Since the Klipsch buyout they are made in China. I just got some new dipole surrounds and for the money I am quite happy with them. The cheap tweeter may not be Jamo's idea but the doing of the corporation that owns them in order to meet price points.

I was playing some music the other day and all I got to say is that the S606 sounds wonderful to me despite the cheap looking tweeters.

have you realized that, s606's mid range drivers almost not playing anything, you can barely hear them when you put your ear near to them....so i changed the filters and now they're sounding wonderfull, mid details are come to alive,,, much more detailed music i'm listening now,,,i highly recommend you to do the same...

What did you change them to?

Obviously, the quality of the crossover can make or break the speaker, but you also need to know the characteristics of all the components (drivers) and how they behave in a given cabinet before you can select an appropriate crossover. Otherwise, you may end up with a lot of peaks and valleys in the resulting overall frequency response.

So, I was just wondering how you determined what crossover to use.

I mentioned that, if you look on the first page that was one of the first things i mentoned "Klipsch did it" jamo is looking way to good so they will buy em out and take them down a notch.

They are still really well made speakers IMO. For the price i paid for mine i cant compain, Well sept for not getting the color i wanted but thats not jamos fault.

I would not take the risk destroying my speakers.....like said I love the sound and wouldn't want it any other way.

i blew it when it's original crossovers intact...

i bought a pair of eminence 3 way crossovers 500Hz/5kHz with 12dB/octave LP ....and now i'm hearing much detailed music, lmao if the specs are appropriate or not...what counts is i'm listening much more beautiful music, in many songs, i've discovered new details.....

Have you run a freq sweep with an SPL meter and seen the response of your speaker? could be that the reason you are hearing more details is that certain freq's are louder.

Wow, thats crazy. SPend all that money then rip the crossovers out and put in your own?

You must be good at crossover building.
