Greetings all...

I am planning on upgrading my current speaker set up for my HT...I have older Mirage and Cantons...I recently purchased a pair of Klipsch RS-42 Surrounds and want to keep the speakers all from the same company...My question is Klipsch has a couple different lines and I want to know what you all recommend for the best sound for 75% Home Theater and 25% Music but that could vary..lol.

I noticed they have the RF, WF, XF (The P series are way out of my price range).

I want the best sound for the buck and a good center to match...

Thanks...

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

I'd stick with the reference series since that's what your surrounds are. A RC-52 or RC-62 would be the center you probably want and then a pair of RFs (floorstanders) or RBs (bookshelves) that have comparably sized drivers. It's really a matter of just how loud you want the system to go.

The R is the Reference Series. If you want to keep within the same product line then:
RS is Reference Surround
RB is Reference Bookshelf
RF is Reference Floorstander
RC is Reference Center

The Icon V series is the value line of home theater speakers, sold by Best Buy

The Icon W series is their furniture grade home theater line

The Icon X series is their thin speaker made to match the style of flat panel displays.

Sometimes loud enough to scare! I was guessing the center would be the RC-64...couldn't see myself buying any other, just looked at the specs and I am sold! For the fronts, it probably is (due to $$$) either the RF-63's or the RF-82's which is a price jump.
My older Mirage FRX-7 fronts and Mirage center isn't really cutting it anymore. I still need to also buy another pair of Klipsch surrounds for my SB channels. I have the RS-42's now!

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

The RF-82 and RC-64 is voiced differently. The RF-63's or RF-83's are the match for the RC-64. If you're getting the RC-64 (amazing center by the way) get the 63's.

Yeah if you're considering a RF-63 and RC-64 front stage you really won't be needing much more. Those will definitely make you jump. That's what I'm using for my setup and the sound it puts out is simply awesome.
