I got the center and towers for the quoted price, but the bookshelf always ended up in my cart at full price, with no explanation.

Thanks goodness. I was tempted to order a pair at that price thought I have absolutely no need for them right now.

Still showing on sale for me ... try refreshing your page before ordering, you may have the old page/price cached in your browser.

Well maybe not - I just put a pair in my cart for $59 - I guess you need to keep trying.

I have the 1 series (FS51, BS21, etc.)...are these a big enough upgrade to spend the $310 to replace the 7.0 setup? My sub is a DIY rig that isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

I much prefer the gen 2 Pioneer series - the detail, definition and bass is nice -
the new drivers are better.

I own two sets of the 22's already, and I've trying my best not to put another set in the shopping cart, as I have no real need for them at all, but damn $60!

Must resist...must resist...

Not really. Some people prefer the 21s. If you sell what you have though you could get the 2nd gen cheap. Go to Best Buy and listen to them

I have the first series, along with a klipsch set in my theater room, but I liked the first series mostly because I think the first series center is better than the second series center. my opinion

Should I pull the trigger?

OK, thinking about getting the Pioneer SP-PK52FS Andrew Jones 5.1 Home Theater Speaker Package tonight for $329 on Amazon, but not sure (maybe 4 of the SP-FS52-LR.instead?).
My living room is 21 feet long, 13 from screen to couch and about 8 feet high.

Have a Benq W1070 projector with a 120" diagonal screen.

Don't have a receiver yet because my old one burned out (Yamaha RX-V367). Not sure what to get.
Old speakers are Energy Micro's (4 small speakers, one center, one sub).

Trying not to spend more than $600 for speakers, but would spend a bit more if I can finance them for low interest.
I really know nothing about speakers (as you can probably tell).

I watch movies (love 3D on the Benq) & Netflix most of the time and don't play much music (yet) and still use my PS3& Xbox 360.

Any help? Wast thinking on getting this set tonight. Wanted a set that would blow my mind (can't wait to see Godzilla 2014 on my screen)!! These Micro's just don't cut it.

Thanks!

The towers are probably worthwhile for your fronts for a little more capability down lower, plus more volume, and a center is almost certainly worthwhile if you can fit it, so go for the package over four bookshelf speakers. If possible, sell the sub that comes with the package and get something better, will make a world of difference.

Benq W1070 projector w/ Chief RSM mount with custom interface bracket
119" Da-Lite Cinema Contour with High-Contrast (gray) Da-Mat screen
Denon X2000 receiver fed by Panasonic DMP-BDT210 Bluray player
Focal Chorus 700-series towers and center, JMLab Tantal 500-series bookshelf rears
Rythmik FV15HP sub

Thanks niccolo, I'll go for the 2 SP-FS52-LR for the front then, but shouldn't I get 2 more for the back then instead of the bookshelf ones and the SP-C22 for the center and just keep an eye out for a good sub?

How is the x2000? Was thinking about investing in that!
I just bought a 120" Electric Motorized Remote Projection Screen Movie Projector Black Matt 16:9 from Amazon a few days ago (haven't received it yet), but see you have a Da-Lite High-Contrast (gray) Da-Mat screen. Is it better?

Thanks!

True! But are the bookshelves better for the back than the fronts? Was thinking about getting 4 of the SP-FS52-LR instead. Any thoughts?

I haven't heard the towers, but they measure a little worse than the 22's which I do own, and some say the 22's sound better overall. For movies it may be beneficial to get the towers, and in that case, I'd use the 22's as surrounds as the towers will be too short in most cases, and have less placement options.

WOW, really? Those 22's are rated better than the towers? Amazing. So I should just stick to the entire package and sell off the sub for something better later, as suggested then?
