Hi,
I posted this in Definitive Speaker thread, but no one responded. It is too long I guess(703 Pages)

I recently got Definitive Promonitor 1000 front speakers with, Procenter 1000, BP1 rears. Few days ago I observed the tweeter in one of the Promonitor 1000 is not working.

I tried to open the speaker to take it out and check/replace tweeter, but even after removing all front screws I could not pull out the front half/plate to take out the tweeter(As if it is glued).

I was wondering how to replace tweeter, if someone can provide some help. I looked around and did not find any guide to replace tweeter, but if there is a thread already, please provide link to that.

Highly appreciate quick help.

Why not call up Definitive Technology. You are going to need their help any way to figure out specifically which tweeter is in there

I have replaced tweets on other speakers. Generally it involved some screw drivers and soldering iron

I am pretty familiar in the process in general for these things. This in particular, it is not moving even after removing all relevant screws. I want to be cautious, and if there is any special process needed for this specific speaker.

As I said, it seems as if it is glued in addition to the screws. I do not want to scratch trying to use too much force. May be there is some simple way.

Will see if Definitive can help.
