Hi Guys!

Long time reader, First time poster.

I'm in the market to purchase a Yamaha RX-A1000 Reciever, and now I'm after some speakers to suit!

I've been down to the 'Big Picture People' in Hoppers Crossing (VIC, Australia) and the guys there were extremely helpful.

They reccomended the MISSION MX3 series speakers for around $1,600(AUD). This is the first time I've heard of Mission before.. What do people think of these speakers? Is there anything else for around the same price point I should be considering?

I havn't really heard much about them, and I would love to know what people think about them!

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I'm in the same situation now - I didn't see many replies. Did you get any answers? I'm trying to build a 5.1 system for LR and 2.1 system for BR and am confused which speakers would maximize A1000 capabilities. Any thoughts?!

I have B&W VM1's right now, and I have had them for years 7+. They have always sounded great. I just got the new RX-A2000 and they still sound great. But I am also looking at new speakers, Paradigm Studio 60's and Focal 726V, these both have a higher sensitivity compared to other speakers and they both sounded great.
