Hi

I have a brand new Pioneer VSX-1120-K AVR. I am in the process of buying new speakers with a budget of around $1,000. I have a small apartment 18x12 and I am looking for a small footprint for speakers.

I am looking at the following, I would like to know if my AVR will be enough for these speakers:

Infinity P162 for fronts and surrounds (4).
Infinity PC250 Center...
Infinity PS212 Subwoofer

I this sub too much for the size of the room? Should I get something smaller?

Please give me a recommendation...on the speakers or something similar..

Thanks for your time.

I use a VSX-920-K and the P162's and it fills my room as loud as you can want. It is about 11 by 17, so you should be absolutely fine.

As for the sub, I don't know a lot about it.

I do like my upgrade of a PC350 center though.

But you will really like the P162's.

Hi
Thanks for responding to my question.
The PC 350 Center is really big and I am not sure if I am going to have enough room on my table.
Do you recommend any specific speaker stands for the P162's?

There are lots you could buy, but these are what I bought:

They aren't the most elegant speaker stands, but they do work.

As for the PC350, I put mine on top of the tv using this:

I would look at this sub. The 1120 AVR will be fine.

Hi
I really like the Infinity PC350 but its really big. I am mot likely going to purchase the Infinity P162's 4 of them. Can you recommend a similar center channel like the PC350 that is smaller in width? I will check out the hsu sub that you posted....also I have wood floors do you they make anything that I can put under the sub to absorb the sound?

Thanks

The Infinity PC250 should be fine.
HSU reccomends you put a throw rug under the STF-2 sub
"Your subwoofer was designed to fire downward onto carpet. If you have hardwood flooring, use a
throw rug under the subwoofer."

Look at this for the subwoofers
