Ok I've come to the experts to ask a serious question on what looks to be an amazing deal. I have the chance to buy a Niles speaker setup from a salvage company. The were claimed with lightning damage. They will give me the ability to test the items prior to purchase. The setup consist of the following:

4x CM760 In-wall
Surround Speakers

3x Pro2770 Left Center Right Cabinet Speakers

1x SW300 Subwoofer

They are asking $800 for everything, but I think I could offer less. It seems they don't really know what they have. As I had to ask lots of questions to even determine that brand and models they were.

What is the best method of testing the speakers on site. I can't really try before I buy but I'm welcome to test them. I assume someone had claimed it all on insurance just to get full value. As I have purchased other electronics with little to no issues.
