I just ordered a system with the following specs (was going to have something different, but couldn't get advice on this forum - alas, my threads have been glossed over:

CM8 Fronts
CMC2 Center
BW 685 Rear
BW ASW610 Sub
Rotel 1550 AVR

I will write a full review once it is installed - can anyone give me a idea of how cohesive this system is?
I know the rears are from a different series, but as they will be used for surround, I thought this would be okay

Also, the sub is much smaller than it should be for this system - but personally I'm not a big fan of too much bass - however, it should be enough

Basically, I want to ask you guys, the experts:
Will the different series rears ruin the experience for me?
Will the smaller sub be pointless?

I'm getting it professionally installed as Rotel's are complicated for Newbs like me to get their heads around...

Please help me :-D

Your questions are impossible for anyone to answer. The answers are completely subjective and only your ears can tell you if something is not right.
Be careful not to self-sabotage your expectations - you have very good equipment and you should be happy with the result.

If you want to know if a product is "good", please tell us your definition of "bad" for an understood point of reference. Do you want subjective opinions or objective facts?
