For music you may not need a sub but for movies, a sub will still be needed. The 11's don't go quite low enough to do the LFE.

Hey thanks for the response =) Yeah I'd kind of figured that what with the cd/streaming audio not using the LFE. I ordered the 11's and the center 3. Should be in by thursday =)

I'm replacing 20 year old NHT 1.5 bookshelves and the Audiocenter 1 center channel. Both are sealed enclosures and pretty low on the efficiency scale...so this upgrade should be a massive improvement. Shame the purchse didnt leave me any money for those nice dipole rear surrounds.

I ended up ordering the black. I could have gotten the towers in cherry, but he wasn't able to get the center-3 in cherry right away. I'm not sure how 2 different color speakers would have looked. Might look a bit odd. I would have really liked the cherry also.

I've still gotta figure out a solution for where I'm putting the center lol. My entertainment stand doesnt have a pocket for it, and the tv sits really low on its stand so the center would be blocking the screen.

Old post, but I'll answer since I just listened to them a week ago. There is a very noticeable difference in sound quality between the 2. I had the salesman play the 7, 9, 11, in a random order with my back to them and over and over I'd pick the 11 when he switched to them. The whole bottom end of any song opened up when the 11's were on. All 3 sounded great but the 11's filled in all the gaps the other 2 were missing.

i have the atom v7 but have the opportunity to get a pair of mini v6 anyone think they would sound similar to the smaller new atom or would (objectively) sound better still because they are the step up with larger box and driver

Stick with the atoms. I demoed the Atom v7 against the Mini Monitor V7 and there was a difference in the bottom end but only slight. IMO it wasn't even close to enough to warrant the price difference.

I've owned a pair of Monitor 9s since November and love them. I know the answer to these questions might simply be up to individual preference, but I'm going to ask anyways. How much toe-in is anybody using for these speakers? Also Im driving them with an Onkyo TX-NR 809 so what crossover settings is everyone finding best.? I'm using 40 Hz for both the Monitor 9s and Center 1 as suggested by Audessy.

As  far as the Mini Monitor v7   vs  the atom v7  their is a noticeable difference between them . The 100.00  retail price difference is definitely justified.

My set up Marantz SR5008 Oppo Bdp103D   Mini Montors v7 fronts,  Ceter 1 , Atom v7 rear  and Monitor 12 Sub

Any word if there's a version 8 of the Mini Monitor on the horizon?

V.7 came out in 2011 - seems like a new version is due? Right?

When this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious sh*t.

I'm wondering if V8 is on the horizon then. I'm thinking I might take advantage of the free center and get me a set of series 11 towers

Pulled trigger on pair of 11s c3 and 4x atoms for $2250 tax incl. I have been obsessing for months and the free center was too good to pass up. Expectin delivery this week - very excited to replace my polk tsI surround system.

Pulled the trigger on a pair of 9's, the free c3 and 2 surround 1's. I have the Anthem 710 and a SVS PB2000 so this should be a great setup! 17x15x8 room.

I was asked how I like the sound and if they are loud enough to be played with drums. Once I receive them I'll give a review.

I was going to message you private again, but I figured I'll just ask in general pop... I have another thread on here where I have been talking about this same deal you just got. I asked a few local dealers (2) about the sale. I asked if they any Paradigm Monitor 7's available and they did and then I asked about the center 1 sale. At first they quoted me almost 20% off retail, without talk of the center sale. Then when I asked about the center sale, they both said they can only give me that sale if I pay the full price. To me this doesn't sound or seem right. So, I don't care what you paid, but did they give you a deal on the speakers still (extra % off retail price) with the sale of the center? I don't think it makes sense, since there is no extra cost to the dealer... Thanks.
