Was in my local box store the other day and noticed high above they had an open box pair of these surrounds for a pretty decent price.
I've been looking for some bipole/dipole surrounds to complete a 7.1. The rest of my speakers are Boston Acoustics "Classic" series.
Wondering if anyone has compared these surrounds to Axiom QS8 (or QS4) or Polk FXI A4/A6, which were the other primary candidates I've been watching?
Also, if I used these as side surrounds, they would be about 3 - 3.5ft from the back wall. Is this too close? Should I just stick with 5.1, with direct radiating bookshelves as surrounds, or go with 7.1 but put the dipole/bipoles on the back wall?
