I'm in the market for a surround sound setup and I didn't want to go the HTIB route and i stumbled upon a bundle on amazon that consists of polk speakers tsi300, m10, cs10, psw111 for $650.

for all i know it appears to be a great deal. I don't want to spend more than this if possible. Hopefully i can get some advice on this package or maybe some suggestions. thanks in advande!

also i need some decent receiver suggestions maybe Pioneer VSX-521-K?
again thanks for helping me out I have no idea what to look for.

Keep an eye on sales being posted on slickdeals from newegg for the Polk Monitor speakers. They are often on sale on a weekly basis from newegg. You might end up with a better deal going with the Polk Monitor.

If you live near Frys. They have been selling the Infinity Primus for a great price recently. Keep an eye on black fridays. There's going to some good deals coming up.

You can buy your affordable wires, cables, connectors, etc from monoprice.com. I've used their products for years and it's outstanding for the price I pay for them.

I haven't heard Polk subs but I would definately save some money for a good subwoofer. It makes a huge difference having a good sub.

That's not really a very good deal. Wait a few days or maybe until Black Friday.

When Newegg runs their specials you can get the Monitor 60 which is the TSi400 equivalent for $105ea. The CS2 center which is like the CS20 can be found for $99 and the Monitor 30 which is better than the M10 for $79/pr.

So then you're looking at.
2 Monitor 60 @ $105 each = $210
CS2 Center @ $99 = 99
Monitor 30 @ $79/pr = $79.

that's $388 which usually includes free shipping. Otherwise shipping might be $2.99.

Go to newegg.com and sign up for their email specials.

Then you can spend the remaining $200+ on a BIC F12 subwoofer or Energy s10.3. Or even thePolk PSW505.

You'll be much happier with that setup.

And apparently Best Buy will have the Pioneer VSX-821 for $199 on Black Friday.

The pioneer VSX-521 is a decent entry level receiver for those on extreme budgets

x2 on waiting for newegg sale on Monitor series ii speakers.

Ignore the psw111 lowest psw sub to buy is psw505 otherwise ignore it

I have an older pioneer from 1997. cost $900 then, rcas only in back. Might have optical.

Should I toss it and get a vsx 821?

What's the difference in the surround now a days??
Have Bose separates and sub.
