Thanks will check into it actually on my way out of state for the day and doesn't seem like a super mobile friendly site so I will check it out when I am at home.

So from what I read bass traps are much more useful than the acoustic panels. So by that theory if I we're running two towers a center and a pair of bookshelves I should have one for each? Sorry I am noob to this. And for the sub one?

Bass traps for the back corners and probably first reflection absorbing panels for the side walls. How much room treatment you'll need will depend on...well, the room. I'm sure you can get the bedroom to work out pretty well, but it might take some work.

I usually keep it simple - treat the bass and early reflections. Some people
go heavy duty. It depends on need and preference and choice. If you do too
much, it can do more harm than good.
If you would like to read more - this is a good article.

Thanks yet again you two. I am thinking I'll do that room but slowly plan it out step by step. I'll post pics when I get into action and ask for your feedback is there somewhere else I should do so?

Probably, yes. Measurements and listening tests will confirm, but bass traps are used in order to cut down on ringing in the lowest frequencies. As an example, the first picture below is my friends right speaker before adding a corner bass trap; the second picture is after adding them:

The glass wool might help absorb reflections, but it won't have the effect a nice, thick bass trap will.

You also want to make sure you do not make the room too dead.

That's good stuff, Nuance.

Read here. Last several pages have some owner opinions, as a production run just recently shipped.

I don't own them, but I've heard them, and they're awesome for the money.

I own them and have had them for a few months. My vinyl jazz collection is growing every day solely because of these speakers. I demo'd maybe 50 sets of speakers from B&W to Salk, and I decided to let my trial period expire and keep the Towers. In hindsight, I would have paid more for them -- that's how supremely impressed I am with the Towers (w/ Sierra NrT center and the Rythmik sub).

Which Salks did you compare the Sierra Towers to-Songtowers?

In the shopping cart use T V15 code and these are $2k to the door.
Lots of Klipsch hate on the forum but I much rather have a pair of these over the B&W CM series.

Charlie

I find it interesting that you've shown the reduction in ringing quite effectively here, but yet a "bass" trap measurement is only shown for what it does above 100hz? Why not include stuff from 20hz on up?

Cheers,
Chad

Because I foolishly deleted his measurements from 15-100Hz. DOH! I'm sorry about that. They actually showed greater improvement below 100Hz.
