Right now, the den theatre's 5.1 speakers system is a set of Infinity TSS-1200s (smallish satellite speakers). I just received an older set of Paradigm Performance Series 9SEs towers. (I tried inserting links to the speakers but I can't do that yet post-count wise.) While the Infinity speakers sound great, the Paradigms are on a whole different tier.

I'd like to replace the left and right Infinity satellite speakers with the pair of tower Paradigms, but am wondering if that will have that significant an impact.

First, with the exception of the occasional concert film, most sound is movie-based. Almost all music listening takes place in the parlour. Doesn't that mean that the left and right speakers are fairly ancillary and most sound is driven by the centre speaker? If so, am I wasting these speakers in that position?
