I am using monoprice in ceiling and in wall speakers.
Obviously the backs of the speakers are exposed so to speak.

Do I need to do anything to keep the insulation off the speaker?
Any sort of risk of fire there?

I know there is very little electricity there but just curious.
I am installing in the ceiling which just has attic space above it but there is insulation laying on the ceiling. It s that insulation with cotton candy looking junk that has paper on both sides.

I did this in my last house for 3 yrs w/ no problem but I am thinking things through a bit more this time.

Fiberglass insulation is completely safe for speakers, it is commonly used in enclosures. Personally I would remove the paper, and then you should be good.
